The food was terrible. You could tell that the cook had used powder mixes to make the sauces, & the powder had not fully dissolved. It tasted flat & artificial. The "crispy noodles" in the Cantonese dish were burned at one end, & congealed at the other. The waiter was very slow & confused, forgot our table a couple of times, mixed up our order with another table. No attention to the drinking water, & we kept having to signal to ask for basic things that should have been on the table. Years ago, there was the Hong Kong House Chinese restaurant on St. Catherine Street West in downtown Montreal. It was excellent. The menu featured a selection of complete meals from soup to dessert & a free pot of tea. There is nothing like it any more. PM for example has only individual dishes. At about $15 a plate, it's hard to put any variety together to make a real family meal. & everything costs extra. Rice, soup, tea, & we didn't even get a fortune cookie or an almond cookie at the end! PM was long, slow, tedious, an unattractive atmosphere (an ugly restaurant), & finally, at the cash, when we paid in spite of the terrible food, we tried politely to mention it to the cashier who became extremely rude & yelled in our faces, which scared the kids. Didn't think of it till we were outside, or we'd have gone back to the table to scoop up the tip we had left. I wouldn't go there again. It's not "authentic" Chinese, either. It's pseudo-American Chinese. Also, they are supposed to have free wifi there, but it wasn't working.

I've been to this restaurant a lot every year.

The restaurant is not big enough, that's about the only thing I'm not satisfied. & of course, the waiters depending on the day & mood are a bit unpredictable. In general I'd recommend the restaurant to those seeking genuine Chinese, please note, the genuine authentic Chinese food.

The restaurant is more a Cantonese style, meaning mild & the cooking style is to bring out the taste of food itself, remarkable. To add on that, the chef added a few dishes to the menu like green beans (sorry I don't know the name in English) & Japanese toufu are highly recommended.

In years I've dined there I'm never disappointed. that is the reason I always take my guests there, or simply dine for pleasure.
