Review Summary

Restaurant Miran offers an authentic and flavorful Uyghur dining experience that many diners describe as a hidden gem in Montreal. Guests frequently praise the fresh, handmade noodles, tender lamb skewers, and generous portion sizes, noting that many dishes are perfect for sharing. The restaurant is appreciated for being family-friendly and providing a welcoming environment, including thoughtful accommodations for those who need to pray. While the majority of visitors highlight the incredible taste and quality of the Halal menu, some feedback mentions inconsistencies in food temperature, varying service speeds, and occasional challenges with communication. Despite these mixed experiences regarding timing and kitchen coordination, most patrons remain impressed by the unique flavor profiles and intend to return for future visits.

The food was very good, pretty decor, waiter was polite & had helpful suggestions.

The only thing that was terrible was the wait time for our food. Almost every item we ordered took about 15 minutes in between each to be served, salad, 15, my dish I shared with my family since we were very hungry, 15 more minutes bread, another 10-15 for my daughter's dish & her samsa(?) & drink, 10-15 minutes a brochette came out & my husband's dish was supposed to come out shortly. Took more than 30 minutes. We were close to asking for the cheque since I had finished long before they had any food & my husband was tired of waiting since our daughter was close to finishing also. It finally came out & he enjoyed it but we were not impressed with their timing. Whoever calls the dishes in the kitchen isn't keeping track of who got what for each table, we shouldn't be eating solo. If there was a problem in the kitchen/ delay the staff should have informed us. If the food couldn't be all prepared & served together that also should have been mentioned so we could change our order. If this is their regular way of serving food I'm very surprised anyone would be a repeat customer.

The food may be good but I wouldn't go back for a sit down meal. Was very unpleasant to each eat separately while watching the others have no food.

Pick up would be fine.

The service & the food tasted pretty good but the menu has limited choices as some dishes have to be pre- ordered 24 hours in advance.

Incredible Uyghur food!
Miran serves some of the best authentic Uyghur cuisine I've ever had. The flavors are rich, the dishes are freshly made (don't miss the hand-pulled noodles & lamb skewers!), & the service is warm & welcoming. A must-visit spot - I'll definitely be back!

This is undoubtedly one of the best halal restaurants in the area. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm hospitality & a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is not only friendly but also exceptionally attentive to even the smallest details, ensuring that every guest has a pleasant dining experience.

The food is truly remarkable, with rich & authentic flavors that remain consistent with each visit. Every dish is carefully prepared using high-quality ingredients, making for a delightful & satisfying meal. Whether you are trying their signature dishes or exploring new items on the menu, the taste & presentation never disappoint.

The only minor drawback is that the temperature inside the restaurant can sometimes feel a bit warm, particularly during busy hours. However, this does not significantly impact the overall experience.

In summary, this restaurant consistently delivers excellent service, a welcoming ambiance, & outstanding food, making it a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy a high-quality halal dining experience.

First Uyghur cuisine experience in Montreal, but not my very first for this type of food. The dishes we ordered were all tasty, I especially enjoyed the handmade noodles. However the rushed service overshadowed our experience. We came far to try this place & did not get there until 40 minutes before close. I understand it's a later arrival but it's not last minute by any means. I was initially discouraged to come for sit-in over the phone but we weren't going to give up after coming all that way. The dishes came out one by one rather than at once so we could enjoy them on the same plate. It would have been nice to have at least had the beef dish served with the noodles. Their hurriedness really affected my experience here but the food didn't disappoint.

It was interesting to try a new type of chinese food! Combination of turkish/northern chinese. The decoration was nice with the turkish lights. Tried the different signature dishes, had different type of lamb dishes. Halal as well. Tried different spices! Price was higher than expected though.

Authentic xinjiang food. Love the lam skewers. Generous portion for the price. It's better to come in group, so you can try more dishes.
