via LibroLe Mélisse in Old Montreal does not ever disappoint, from the warm welcome by its owner Caroline Desgagné to the perfect wine pairing by the friendly & efficient servers ably supported by sommelier Salomé Médam. This very first warm day of spring in Montreal, the restaurant was buzzing with the Montrealaise just coming out of hibernation (& having lived through a rather nasty ice storm the week before). & yes, the food was great from the very tasty tartare de boeuf & falafels croustillant to the shawarma plate with its perfectly cooked beef striploin (from PEI).

All the plates that were chosen were tasty & so well presented. Thank you Sébastien for the exceptional execution. A special metion for the cheescake that was simply the best I had in a long time. Thank you for this memorable meal.
