Loved this place - great ambiance, service, food & drinks.
We each had cortados & the plum cocktail special - very tasty. The budwig was really good - the blended Greek yogurt is something I'm going to recreate at home, & it wasn't an overly sweet dish despite the honey, granola, & fruit - which we really enjoyed. Also the endive salad was lovely & their shakshuka was one of the best I've had. We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Nous avons adoré notre soirée & nos plats étaient délicieux: les huîtres, le crudo de saumon, la salade de tomates ancestrales & crevettes nordiques, les ris de veau... tout était parfait! Même la recommandation pour le vin était parfaite pour accompagner tous ces plats. Merci Mélisse, je suis heureuse d'être votre voisine.

So many great things to say about this family owned five star gem. Seasonal, locally grown food cooked to perfection.

We hoped to sit on the patio but the weather was questionable earlier in the day. Despite that the owner, Caroline set up outdoor tables just for us. We love female owned businesses! What a lovely patio with plants & strings of lights. Needless to say other diners wanted to eat out there too even though it was a bit chilly. The firepit made it especially comfy for all of us.

The food was just outstanding from start to finish. Salome was our server & the daughter of the owner. Salome was just a delight & showed a level of passion that's hard to find. She suggested the seasonal cocktail made from the juice of locally grown cantaloupe crushed in-house. It was delicate & so good! As a sommelier she really knows her wines & selected some excellent pairings to go with our food.

The food...wow! We started with the endive salad. Super fresh & delicious. Not too much dressing, not too little. We also shared the locally grown oyster mushrooms charred & perfectly seasoned. Every bite was remarkable. No sauce covering up the mushrooms just pure mushroom heaven. My husband had the pasta of the day. It's made fresh everyday & changes daily. Today corn, peas & chanterelles. My husband's from Italy & loved this dish! I had the Arctic char. Unforgettable. Perfectly cooked & the flavor was balanced with a hint of heat. Fantastic! We ended our meal with perfectly prepared cappuccinos & a deconstructed peach crumble with apricot & a vanilla mint ice cream.

Everything about our experience was amazing. I can't wait to return to this gem!

Le Mélisse est un de mes restos favoris dans Griffin Town. Beaucoup de personnel attentionné, un bon menu assez varié, souvent du poisson ou de la viande est offert & toujours de bonnes salades au menu. On aime manger des légumes & le Mélisse le sait & les prépare bien. Bravo!

Delicious food - dishes very suitable for sharing - & impeccable bilingual service. Our party of four shared hummus, falafel, two salads, pasta, Brussels sprouts - everything beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, & just slightly unusual. All ingredients fresh.

Parking somewhat tricky, only because so much roadwork is being done in Old Montreal, but there are paid lots within a couple of blocks.
