I was really looking forward to the chicken biryani, but unfortunately, the chicken pieces were undercooked & slightly pink inside - a serious issue from both a taste & safety perspective. The rice was fragrant & well-seasoned, but the undercooked meat ruined the experience. I hope the kitchen tightens up their food safety protocols.View more

Bought a non vege thali. The chicken curry was not good, no taste, watery. tiny pieces of butter chicken but that tasted good, rice was just rice. The portion is extremely small. Otherwise the place looks clean n service was ok.View more

Very good place for indian dishes in Laval! This spot deserves to be known. It's well decorated, super clean & friendliest staff! I had one of the best butter chicken ever! It's not overly spicy, so you can easily taste all the spices. I recommend the following (especially for people who isn't familiar with indian dishes, I promise you, you'll be amazed) : Samosas, onion bhaji, fish pakora, butter chicken, plain naan. We were served a seemingly never-ending variety of delectable Indian cuisine dishes & we would love to talk about each one because they were all excellent. Some of our favorites included: the Chili Paneer, the Fish Pakora, Gol Gappe, & the Chili Chicken Biryani. We also loved the 4 types of naan & the delicious Gulab Jamun for dessert. We enjoyed several wonderful drinks from their bar, both with & without alcohol. Despite having tried so many different plates, we still didn't get halfway through the menu. During my recent visit to Montreal, I dined at Mehfil &.... wow; I was blown away! As someone who often eats at renowned Indian restaurants in NJ & NYC (where Im from), I can confidently say Mehfil is the best I've experienced in many ways. I have not had better tasting butter chicken anywhere else; the flavors transported me back to India. Beyond the butter chicken, the other meat & veg dishes (their paneer is a must-have) are top-notch, each cooked to perfection with authentic spices. On top of that, the customer service was wonderful, & the drinks were expertly crafted. If you're in Montreal, you don't wanna miss out on Mehfil!View more

As an Indian, I always look for good Indian restaurants when I travel, & this one truly stands out. In all my visits to Indian restaurants across Canada, I haven't found any that match the authenticity & flavor of this place. While I was in Montreal for a couple of days, I enjoyed their Indian dishes. Karahi Chicken, Butter Chicken, Fish Tikka, & Dal Makhani are must-tries. If you love Indian food, this place is a must.View more

We travelled from USA to Qubec city & took stop here.. the food was great & Muskan was good host. While coming back we decided to visit it again.. shrimp curry , shahi panner , chicken Biryani was great. Everything was came quick & inexpensive compared to to dishes we have been paying on other restaurants. Definitely recommended!View more

This is the BEST indian food restaurant no doubt. The samosas, 10/10. The naan bread, 10/10. Butter chicken, 10/10. Mango Lassi, 10/10., etc. The atmosphere of the place is charming, there's never a lot of people so it's a great place if you don't like overcrowded spots. The waitresses were so nice, they came to check up often while we were eating, to make sure everything was to our taste & that we didn't need anything more. I'm kind of surprised at how underrated this restaurant is, but i'm not complaining, more for me☺️ Would 100% go back again, this is my favorite Indian restaurant. Its a good place to eat peacefully!! Clean & food quality is good. Chicken bhoona was delicious 9/10 & daal makhni was not that creamy but it was 7/10. Garlic naans were soft. There is a big hall for parties & their dine in area is spacious too. But there is a little confusion with the gates as they havent marked the dine in area, party hall & entrance is confusing too.View more

We went for supper on valentines day. The whole place was empty. It looked clean. Decent atmosphere. The service could have been better. The food was great no complaints there. Great butter chicken & palak paneer. However the biryani was super spicy to the point thay I could not eat it, even though I had specified to the waitress that we wanted non spicy. Saturday lunchtime. We are the only customers. Took a while before anybody came to see us. Music was very loud. After a few minutes, a waitresses with the look & manner of a homeless serial killer that could not speak French & barely English came with the menu. Not only did we have to repeat our selection a few times, but she was asking ridiculous questions like how many soup I wanted. The food came & obviously partly wrong even if she double-checked our order. I received the biryani chicken instead of the lamb. The oignons' appetizer was good. However, some were under cook. Overall the food was ok & not expensive & good portion.This is why I gave a 2. Of course, the machine to pay with the credit card was not working. Maybe the evening is better, & I think I got stuck with the B team, but I'm not sure if I will come back.View more

I miss the cuisine that is readily available in Montreal, I did not think I would find a comparable replacement in my area. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered from Mehfil. The food is just amazing & fresh, the portions are good, & the prices are reasonable; I had the Chicken Madras & the Bhindi which were out of this world, even better tasting than my favourite Indian eatery in Montreal. I am so happy to have found Mehfil right here in my neighbourhood. I will be a regular customer & will make a point of ordering at least once a week; its that good.View more
