Review Summary

Overall, reviews describe Restaurant Les Deux Frères as a long standing, family style pizzeria with a warm, retro atmosphere, offering a pizza experience that many call the best in town thanks to a perfect dough, generous toppings, and a soft, flavorful cheese pull; service is repeatedly praised for speed and friendliness, whether dining in or taking out. The menu gets high marks for pepperoni heavy pies, meat sauce variants, and even the half and half option, while poutine and spaghetti sauce are noted as surprisingly delicious additions. A few visits are described as less satisfying, with complaints about a burnt crust or insufficient sauce, and some say the decor feels dated, but the overall sentiment is that the food and the dining experience keep people coming back. Most reviewers express strong willingness to return and highlight the establishment as a beloved local favorite that has stood the test of time.

This pizzeria has been around since I was born, & honestly, it's still the best pizza in town!

The dough is perfect, the pepperoni's just right, & the cheese.. so good.
& for the poutine… listen, you kinda have to be from here to truly appreciate it . People say,'Oh, all you taste is cinnamon' or'It taste funny.' Well, I say it's delicious! & yes, it's made with grated cheese, deal with it!

Sure, the place is old & could use a few renovations, but can you still have a great time & enjoy amazing food? Absolutely YES!

I've been going there with my family since I was a little kid, it was also my first date & now it's still my boyfriend's & my favorite spot for date nights. 🖤
Highly recommend!

We stopped in, the family ,on our way back from a little gig in Vankleek Hill, & what an amazingly perfect dinner it was. My wife asked for a recommendation from a local, & so we find ourselves (2 parents & 3 teens) all with pizzas in their eyes, at the Deux Frères pizzeria, a vintage family style diner with jukeboxed booths & all. Our waitress, Anicka (sp?), was superb, & especially in coolly fielding all the'can I have the's from our lot. Our order included two large onion rings & once gargantuan Hawaiian with bacon. The onion rings were large, hot, crispy & honestly the most fantastic example of this side, this side of the last 50 years & the equator. They were perfect. The pizza - it's sheer size at first somewhat off putting - was very large (think North Shore Oahu), & the not small chore of cutting & distributing, 3ft cheese strings & all to all five of us was deftly & humorously handled by Anicka. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE CHEESE: The cheese, sourced from a local dairy, is hands down the best pizza cheese this pizza fan has ever had. Really a showstopper. Full flavoured, soft, super stringy & just exactly greasy enough. We are (my wife & I ) now mostly keto so bread of any kind is rare. We often don't eat the bread or crust of a pizza, but one bite, & it was good-bye keto, crusts & all. The kids have been around a fair bit. They've had real NYC pizza & quality sampled elsewhere in Montreal, & they all LOVED it. 10 was too low a number in their minds. In the end, & I would not have believed it, there was not crumb left over - sorry Suzie Lou Who. Thank you Deux Frères!!!!!
