Extraordinaire repas à Montréal, de vraie goût traditionnel. En plus, il y a des artisanat pour acheter & deco Mexican qu'il m'a fait penser à la maison de Frida Kahlo
This is the best Mexican food I've had in Montreal. The dishes were delicious, flavourful, based on authentic recipes, & made from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Cute location with delicious food & the portion sizes are not gigantic! We went for brunch & the food & coffee was delicious! The servers were friendly & attentive, too. The benedicts & the 514 eggs were delicious, & the standard drip coffee was fantastic!
La salsa verde & rojas est supposément la même chose selon le serveur. J'avais commandé avec salsa verde… finalement j'ai eu rouge… La rouge est plus populaire me dit le serveur mais moi je voulais verte !! Il voulait me changer. Mais j'ai refusé, car j'avais très faim. Bref, c'était correct… Le steak était moyen, sans goût vraiment & un peu trop cuit.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at 514 on St-Laurent, & I can confidently say-it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in Montreal!
The atmosphere is vibrant & welcoming, the staff are friendly & attentive, & the food… absolutely delicious. From the tacos to the birria, everything was full of authentic flavor & clearly made with love. The guacamole was fresh & zesty, & the margaritas? Let's just say, they know what they're doing!
What really impressed me is that they also offer delivery-& the quality remains just as incredible. Perfect for a cozy night in or when you're hosting friends & want to impress.
It's located on the iconic St-Laurent Boulevard, about a 12-minute drive from Old Montreal. If you're in the city-whether local or visiting-514 should be at the top of your list.

The food & service are excellent. The atmosphere is fresh & friendly. I went for brunch in a Saturday & I was surprised by the easy parking on that city block!
The brunch place that preceded this one I did not care for, so it's nice to see a fresh brunch restaurant open up in this great location. A Mexican brunch place is a welcomed twist as this is one of my favourite cuisines. I found the menu interesting as it was mostly composed of Mexican dishes, with a few American dishes thrown in. The menu didn't really seems to have a clear flow to it.
Although I did say I love Mexican food - I am a huge fan of Chicken & Waffles which are not easy to find in the city, so I could not resist to see what their take on that dish would be like. I have to be honest, it was a bit weird. They threw a generous portion of berries onto the dish which looked nice but really did not compliment the rest of the dish. The waffles were alright but the fried chicken wasn't the best, the coating needs work. The quantity of chicken given was appreciated however. Service was very good, & the place has a bright & colourful feel to it. The owner even came around & blessed me with some complimentary pan dulce which was a nice touch. This place has true potential, I think they just need a third opinion on the menu from someone with more industry experience.
