What else to say but perfect, we've walked past this place before it opened & were fortunate enough to meet the kind owner outside who offered us to come after they opened & he didn't disappoint, this is one of my favourite upscale Japanese restaurants in Montreal now, the quality of food is amazing & the staff did their best to accommodate my large family with little kids

The Fish Eye's opening night was an underwhelming performance.

While the 45 minute wait for the dish to be served might well be forgiven on an opening night, the restaurant's nebulous concept & identity are harder to overlook. The culinary quality fell well below the high standards set by other Montreal establishments in the area. For exceptional Japanese food at a better value, diners are better off at Kazu, & for a Michelin-starred French cuisine experience, Jérôme Ferrer's Europea is just across the street. Even their sushi offering pales in comparison to their sister branch, Hidden Fish.

Ultimately, the menu is far too expansive, & the execution doesn't measure up to the competition in the area. Simply middling.

Fish Eye Izakaya was such a great find! The food was absolutely delicious, with a creative Japanese izakaya style & French-inspired touches. We loved everything we tried. It was our first night after the restaurant opened, & we were so impressed by the quality & flavors. We also really enjoyed the à la carte menu, which gave us the chance to try different dishes. We'll definitely be back!

Fish Eye Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the service was friendly, attentive, & professional. The food was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared, with every bite showing great attention to quality & detail. The portions were generous, & everything we ordered was delicious.

What really stood out was the overall experience-the combination of excellent food, great service, & a lovely atmosphere made the visit truly memorable. I would highly recommend Fish Eye Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal & a place that genuinely cares about its guests. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting, & I'll happily be coming back!
