Review Summary

Restaurant Echo-Brunch is widely regarded as a charming, family-owned addition to the neighborhood that offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for brunch. Guests frequently praise the friendly, attentive staff and the high quality of the food, noting that the menu features original and delicious options like the croissant eggs benedict, shakshouka, and various lattes. While the majority of visitors have had excellent experiences, some feedback suggests that service can occasionally be slow during peak times, and a few patrons noted inconsistencies with food temperature or portion sizes. Despite these minor points, the restaurant is frequently described as a hidden gem with reasonable prices, making it a popular choice for those looking for a fresh, heartfelt dining experience in Verdun.

Unassuming from the outside but the place is quite cute & clean. Only 2 people working during a Friday morning. Our server was quite chill & patient with my lackluster French skills. If you're Anglophone, I would recommend bringing a dictionary or a translator. The menu has numbers next to the items to help with ordering.

For a quiet morning, the service was a little slow. We asked for some time after ordering our drinks & it took our waiter 30 minutes to get back to us. Our food came quickly afterwards though so I'll chalk it up to a simple mistake. Our drinks were delicious too, I got the tiramisu latte & my partner got the iced caramel latte. We ended up switching drinks cause the tiramisu latte was a little sweet for my taste & her espresso was a little bitter for her. Both were delightful though.

I got the pistachio French toast & my partner got the Croissant Echo with ham. The food here is amazing, the ice cream with the french toast was delicious & fluffy, portions are quite large. My only complaint is that it's a little too rich, but honestly it's too good to pass up. The Croissant Echo was delicious, very saucy which is great for a sauce lover like my partner.

Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant for a nice brunch. I'm not sure if the wait staff knows English, so I'd bring someone who speaks French if you don't. Very good food, great atmosphere & décor. Merci!

we went today (mother's day) there wasn't a line or anything but it took 1h20 to get our food once we were seated (most people had already got their food & a lot of people left while we were waiting, so not too busy). i've never waited that long for service in my life! the only good part of service was the girl refilling coffee. also, there isn't many choices, i am vegetarian & there wasn't any salty options that didn't include meat. the pear french toast was fine but way too sweet! overall really bad experience i do not recommend unless you are free to spend the whole day there.

This was my first visit since Echo-Brunch opened. The restaurantwill seat about 60 at a mix of tables & banquettes so I sat at one of those. I ordered a latte & the shakshouka. Service was relaxed but prompt & I soon had my breakfast. The latte was fine, & the shakshoukha included the tomato sauce a frigate & two slices of toast. Anyway, I finished the breakfast which was tasty & I will be back to sample more of the menu. A promising start! This restaurant has a lot of potential & the menu is quite different to other local restaurants so it will be interesting to see how it develops.

A quiet spot for a Friday brunch. The food was nicely displayed. It didn't look like they had as much fruits (gave only 1 toast) as the other reviewers pictures. It's still a good portion. The egg benedict with ham & avocado was nice, however the croissant underneath was stale. Overall, good experience.
