Had a wonderful meal this evening at Restaurant LE 1881. We were looking for an establishment with outdoor seating & it was full at when we stopped by. Eloise caught up with us as we were walking out & informed us that the group outside was going to leave shortly & encouraged us to stay a bit longer. She was charming & we agreed. Which was a very good decision as the food was delicious & the service superb. Started with the soup of the day (butternut squash) - creamy & nicely seasoned. Followed up with the Cavatelli maison & Salade chevre chaud. Generous portions & both wonderful. The Creme Brulee dessert, was a perfect way to end the meal. A great meal with terrific service.

Really nice restaurant the food was fantastic & a great place to go to when visiting Montreal the service was amazing the waiters were kind & talkative & the food didn't take to long to come out only issue is it's a tad bit small so it might be booked out often but nevertheless absolutely worth a visit

I had one of the best salmon I've ever had at this place, but apparently there was a miscommucation in the kitchen with our order & food took a very long time to arrive. My group was fine with it as the food was so good. However clearer communication would be appreciate as our group of 5 waited for almost over an hour without any communication from the staff, & we only got any interaction after we talked to a kind staff at the bar who was honestly more attentive to our table than our initial wait staff.

Stopped in for a bite & it hit the spot. The sandwich was good, & the yogurt bowl was fresh with a nice crunch from the granola. The fries with the sandwich were also a solid call.

Big plus: the service was efficient. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food to come out, which is always appreciated when you're hungry. No complaints, would happily eat here again.

This was our first meal upon arriving in Montreal. It's a very unassuming restaurant with its own entrance next to the sport club. The restaurant space is smaller than expected, but makes up for infriendly staff & great food. I found the waitresses to be super attentive, always filling water & asking how you're doing. The food took a little bit longer to come out, but it is expected as it looks like everything is prepared from scratch. Everything had wonderful balance of flavors not too salty & the swordfish was cooked to perfection over the purée. Hands-down would come again.

Food is great. Portion size is very kind. Service is great.

Complimentary bread & butter was a nice surprise, & we thought it was just one serving but she actually gave us more after we finished our first portion.

Really loved the soup. Salmon tartare was very good too.

Amazing brunch, especially for the price. The shakshouka was good although not my thing. The kid's meal was amazing especially the pancakes. They are so fluffy. Don't miss that. Everything tasted like it's made in house. The quality punches far above the price point.

The chef, Garry, is one of the best in town. The food is delicious, the tartares are the best! & the service impeccable! Despite the restaurant being in the high end MAA sports club, it has its own entrance & its super easy to meet up. It's my favorite place for business lunches or meetings. The music is soft & we can talk (thank god) while having great food. Love this place!

The food was good. Service bad & not attentive
Outside sitting nice. Brunch menu is interesting. The service unacceptable. The servers couldn't care less whether the clients are having a good time.
