First time trying ranjys, & it most deffinitely will not be my last. They offer a iftar special during ramadan, & everything was absolutely delicious!!
Great service & potential, but needs a few tweaks
We visited Ranjy's based on their impressive 4.8-star rating. While there is a lot to like, our experience was a bit of a mixed bag.
The Atmosphere & Service:
The owners are incredibly friendly & the restaurant is noticeably clean, which shows they truly care. However, the ventilation seems insufficient; the smell of fried food was very strong inside, suggesting the stove hood might need maintenance or an upgrade. Also, be prepared for a wait-we arrived at 4:30 PM & didn't receive our food until 5:15 PM.
The Food:
- The Chicken: The highlight of the meal. The batter was perfectly crispy. However, the meat itself was a bit dry; a brining process (similar to Popeyes) would go a long way in making it juicier.
- The Poutines: Very generous portions, but unfortunately, they were quite salty.
- The Fries: They appear to be standard Cavendish battered fries (similar to the frozen variety at Costco). While crunchy, they don't quite match the'hidden gem' vibe of the rest of the menu.
Verdict:
The food is currently average, but the potential is there to be excellent. If they can fix the ventilation, dial back the salt in favor of more herbs/spices, & perhaps switch to a more unique fry, this place would be a 5-star spot.

We drove in from Ottawa to drop someone at off & decided to try Ranjy's, & it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was warm & genuine. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, & they made us feel truly welcome.
They thoughtfully started us off with dates & water, along with sambusa & a comforting lentil soup - such a perfect way to begin the meal. Everything that followed was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. You can really taste the care in the food.
Overall, amazing service, delicious dishes, & a great atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive from Ottawa.
I recently eat at Ranjy's & was blown away by the delicious food,try fried chicken & zinger burger. The flavors were rich & authentic. The Owner was very friendly & also the staff , particularly Saleh, were warm & welcoming. Their excellent service made my experience even better. I'd definitely recommend Ranjy's to anyone looking for great food & hospitality.

Me & my friends went there on my suggestion after seeing reviews of this place on TikTok.
My friends are not as comfortable with the idea of south asian cuisines, however I assured them it seems to be more of a fusion restaurant & the menu is varied.
We had a Ranjy's pita mix. , bucket of chicken, chicken tikka poutine, & a burrito fritos.
The Pitas are simply phenomenal. Stuffed to bursting with meat, one alone is enough to put you in a food coma. Their tikka chicken is simply amazing to be honest. 8.5/10
The fried chicken is very tender, very crispy & all around great. I personally would simply the batter seasoned a bit more heavily & keep it slightly lighter coloured. Maybe it was fried a tad bit too dark. Overall, very good. 8/10
The chicken tikka poutine was simply amazing. I cannot express the reception it had on my table. Everyone wanted to get a bite of it. The chicken tikka is again super tender & flavourful. I believe it is the ingredient they do the best here & every-dish that has it is probably good. It also somehow perfectly compliments the poutine, & they sre generous with it. 9.3/10
Fritos burrito. Solid burrito, tastes likes something you could easily whip up, except the tenders in it are freshly made. The sauce was well balances & refreshing with the lettuce. 7.8/ 10

Just wrapped up my 3 piece meal & let me say; this place KNOWS how to make fried chicken. Even after sitting in the car for 20 minutes, got home & it was still hot, moist, & crispy. The crust snaps & crackles in your mouth & retains that texture after being covered in gravy. I finished every last crumb, even the bones were completely clean. My coworker agrees with me & this is our new go to spot for some fried chicken after a long day working in the kitchen. Congrats to the staff & owners of Ranjy's, you've completely blown my expectations.
Shout out to ranjys For the amazing service hooking up with some free extra drinks & also for being open on Christmas Eve when everybody else is closed, they are really about their money
Very polite & welcoming team, everyone is so nice here. Great selection for all tastes. Every item on the menu is incredibly tasty all the time. The food is ALWAYS freshly made once you order, I never had on bite from Ranjy's that wasnt amazing & perfectly cooked, hence the time it takes for chicken is worth the wait. The fried chicken is very crispy & juicy, you wont find it with any layers of fat, it is also very well seasoned. The burritos are on another level, I was skeptic at first but not trying them is a huge error , I like the meatos most but all are spectaculor. The food & the combination in the sandwiches are like nowhere else. If you dont try it, you're missing out. & its open late. This is a hidden gem.

I was at Ranjy's last night & ended up coming back again today - that's how good it was. The 3-piece chicken meal was crispy, fresh, & really flavorful. The gravy & coleslaw made it even better, & the portion was just right. Honestly, it's rare that I return to the same place two days in a row, but their chicken was worth it. I'd definitely recommend it.
The food at Ranjy's was absolutely incredible & the owner Gamal was very friendly & really easy too talk too. While we where eating he came too make sure everything was good so it shows how much he cares for his customers. It's the 3 time in 1 month & we get more surprised each time of the food. The food is fresh & very good quality just 10 out of 10. I highly recommend coming too ranjys you will not be disappointed.
Best halal chicken in the whole wide world, great music to listen to while eating, amazing service & very inexpensive for the portions. Would go every single day for breakfast, dinner & supper if I could. I love you Mr. Ranjy's. ❤?🍗🍴

J'ai passé un excellent moment au restaurant Ranjy's à Pierrefonds ! L'ambiance est chaleureuse, le service attentionné & la nourriture délicieuse. Chaque plat était savoureux & bien présenté. Un endroit que je recommande vivement pour un repas agréable en toute simplicité. Bravo à toute l'équipe ! Bonne continuité un gros merci au propriétaire du restaurant.

What can I say? My goodness. The food... oh my goodness. I ordered the Ranjy's mix Pita & a 3 piece fried chicken & loved every bite. The Ranjy's Mix was so flavorful & was absolutely massive & filled to the brim with tender high quality meats & fresh ingredients. The fried chicken was so tender, juicy, generous & high quality that it begs the question of why anyone would go to a certain bearded man's place. I knew this was going to be a wonderful experience from the moment I opened the door & got the first sniff of the place. The staff is super friendly too. The man at the counter served every customer like they were his closest friends which is rare today. He had his family helping out & each one was just as sweet as the last. The ambiance was pleasant & had a wide variety of music playing. The service was also fast & cordial. I would honestly recommend this place to any other foodies out there or anyone who likes good quality for the money. Speaking of which, the cost was more than fair, much more than fair, for what we ordered. Honestly, come one & come all!! I overheard the owner (the man at the counter) say that he may open a franchise, & I will gladly let him open up in my home kitchen. Spectacular, I would rate a 10 out of 5 if I could. I can understand why he is quite busy.
Une expérience incroyable chez Ranjis ! Les plats sont savoureux, frais & super bien présentés. Le poulet butter était à tomber & le lassi à la mangue un vrai délice. Le service est chaleureux & attentionné, on se sent vraiment bien accueilli. Je recommande à 100 % !
