Ramen Isshin has quickly become a standout destination for authentic Japanese ramen in the West Island, consistently praised for its rich, flavourful broths and high-quality ingredients. Guests frequently highlight the welcoming atmosphere and modern, cozy decor, but the exceptional customer service truly sets the experience apart. Staff members are repeatedly commended for their attentiveness, personalized recommendations, and willingness to customize dishes, such as offering reduced salt options to accommodate individual preferences. While some patrons find the ramen prices slightly higher than average, most agree that the combination of delicious food, efficient service, and overall consistency makes it a must-visit spot that earns repeat business.
Best ramen in over two years. Since I was in Japan last. We both had the spicy red miso ramen. Fried chicken as an app is also a must. & the two ladies that work there are super nice & attentive.
Went there last thursday. I want to start by saying how much I appreciate the service, the waitress was very kind, offered to explain the menu to me since it was my first time & asked if I wanted to modify my ramen in any way (like less salty, etc). The chicken was very good, crispy on the outside, nice & soft on the inside. The lemon was a nice addition to balance the fatness of the frying & kewpie mayo. I had the dragon ramen because I wanted something spicy. Perhaps due to my tolerance, it wasn't at all spicy, but it was very salty so I saw why the waitress asked me about it😆 The sake isn't as overpriced as ither places I've been to. Overall, can't wait to try other ramen there ☺?
Very good experience, the staff are very friendly! I tried their Spicy Miso, soooo yummy 😋 & the portion is perfect for one person. Highly recommended!
I ate dinner at Ramen Isshin for the first time last night with my wife & 2 young kids. We might have found our new favourite restaurant!
It's rare that I try a new place & find absolutely nothing to complain about (yeah, I'm like that). Ramen Isshin though...
The place itself is tastefully decorated. It was immaculately clean as well. Even the dishes (plate & bowls) were beautiful & matched the decor.
The service was exceptional. Our server had a genuine smile on her face & gave us a detailed explanation of the menu. She also had a suggestion for the kids that they loved!! I should mention that my kids have a couple of favourite restaurants, but last night they both agreed that this is their new top spot!
I had the Red Dragon ramen. It was the'spicy' option. I would say the heat level was low, but not in a bad way. It just wasn't very'spicy'. However, it was FULL of flavour! The broth was rich & delicious; the noodles were hearty & felt home made, & the meat was tender & delicious. We also tried the raw octopus with wasabi appetizer, which was also very nice. I'm pretty sure I'll eventually try everything on their menu eventually.
Overall, this place is an absolute gem! If I really dig around for a complaint (which is how I roll), I'll say that getting around in that neighbourhood sucks. Can't turn left anywhere. That being said, obviously not their fault & if I weren't so stubborn I could have just used my GPS.
Absolutely amazing! Both the service & food was exceptional. Definitely one if the best ramen in west island & a must try if you are looking for a nice warm hug in a bowl! Recommend the spicy red miso!
Great new ramen spot in the West Island. We ordered the Assari Shoyu, Spicy Miso, & Takoyaki. Both broths were rich & flavourful, & the Takoyaki was delicious. Portions were generous. Our only comment is that it would be nice if the Spicy Miso also included half a marinated egg, as the Assari Shoyu does, without needing to add it as a top-up. Otherwise, the food, ambiance & service were excellent.
Service was excellent! Our waitress Estelle explained the menu really well & she was very sweet. I ordered the Black sesame tan tan noodles which was absolutely delicious & the right level of spicy. We also had the korokke (crispy potato), but i found it too mushy for my preference. The chicken karaage was delicious.
