Our menu was designed & developed by our Executive Chef Koji Zenimaru. We hope you enjoy his offerings created from his personal experiences, life and travels throughout Japan. Ramen Isshin presents you our true authentic tastes of Ramen.
Ramen Isshin is widely praised for a rich, comforting broth and chewy noodles, with bowls described as flavorful and satisfying and toppings fresh. The service and atmosphere are often highlighted as friendly and efficient, able to handle busy crowds while staying clean and cozy. Standout orders like spicy and red miso ramen earn strong recommendations, and portions are generally generous with good value, though a few reviewers find prices high or some bowls uneven. Some criticism points to an overpowering garlic oil, broth that can taste bitter when altered, and occasional notes of small meat portions. Overall, the reviews present Ramen Isshin as a reliable, popular ramen spot with vegetarian options and a range of flavors, though experiences can vary and it may not be the absolute best in the city.
WOW! Le bouillon du ramen me rappelle ceux du Japon. Le service est rapide, le décor est vraiment joli, les places assises sont confortables, l'endroit est parfait pour une date. Je recommande x 10000%
Very cute very busy small ramen place in Verdun. Most nights you will have to queue to be able to get a table. The food is really good. Very rich broth full with flavor but can be more generous when it comes to the protein portion. 2 pieces of sliced porc was not enough for my big appetite. I ordered the red dragon miso ramen & the garlic sesame veggie ramen. The chicken karaage was also really good but took a long time to come which made our soups take more time as well.
I absolutely loved this place. The vibe was great, the choice of music definitely added to the atmosphere & was most enjoyable. Onto the essence of a good restaurant, the food. It was incredible! I had the takoyaki & vegetarian shoyu noodles, each was packed with a rich flavor & filling portion. I'd say the price to quality ratio was most agreeable, & the customer service received by the waitress was very good, she was kind & explained the menu in a very clear way. There was also a man in the staff with a very cool legen of Zelda korok tattoo (from windwaker) which was a plus lol. All in all a great restaurant for Japanese food.

Having been to the other ramen Isshin places in different locations, this one is by far the best one! The servers are super nice & attentive - you'll be sure to leave with a smile. The food delivers every. single. time. It feels absolutely authentic & the spice level is just perfect for each dishes. I 10000% recommend this place, especially in this cold it's very cozy. ✨
We ordered spicy red miso ramen & tantan ramen. The ingredients were fresh they gave generous portions. I especially loved the tantan ramen. It's nutty & rich.
Pour le ramen fest! J'ai pris le ramen miso rouge. Vraiment bon mais encore meilleur avec un oeuf à l'intérieur (extra) l'entrée d'edamame était très généreuse.

I did a delivery with Ubereats as I'm in a hotel for work. This establishment did not include the cutlery I added to the delivery. I would recommend this establishment open up their comment section when ordering so I could remind them cutlery is kinda important for Ramen. Also it would be rad just to ask for things on the side & not inside the ramen bowl.
Fantastic selection of vegetarian ramen! A very convincing vegetarian substitute for tonkotsu soup, the spicy miso ramen was delicious. I wish other ramen places get inspired & create more variety of vegetarian & vegan ramen!
The food is alright, what I mean is that it is more or less on par with the rest of ramen restaurants out there but is grossly overpriced... Off the bat, their soup is roughly $5 (~20%) more than Kinton & other competitors out there & they gave you 2 slices of pork that's PAPER THIN. The broth is not particularly impactful/memorable either, is average. I tried Isshin a couple years ago in Ottawa & it was good & I gave it a 5 stars, but it wasn't $22/bowl with barely any ingredients in there, it was literally 2 thin slices, a bit of ground pork & some bean sprouts, not even a sheet of seaweed. For context, at the time of typing this, you can get a spicy ramen combo with gyoza & coke at Kinton for the same price. The "seafood" pancake is also disappointing, mushy & tiny, barely any seafood in there, very salty too. Overall, in terms of taste it is OK, in terms of value I won't be coming back.
