Review Summary

Queues de Castor BeaverTails serves tasty classic beaver tails with maple and pistachio flavors, sometimes topped with chocolate, and hot chocolate is a common pairing, with some reviews trying bacon poutine and maple ice cream. The location is noted for a scenic hilltop setting that makes for good photos. Service is frequently described as friendly and bilingual, with staff explaining flavors and offering recommendations, although busy times can slow things down and one visit mentioned a rude cashier. Tastes are often consistent with Ottawa locations, and the treats are described as reliable and comforting, though seating can be limited and there is at least one report of illness after a meal suggesting possible food safety concerns. Overall, Queues de Castor BeaverTails is seen as a dependable, enjoyable stop with a range of traditional flavors and beverages that appeal to different tastes, providing a warm, welcoming ambiance.

I had to try the famous beaver tails while in the area. They were amazing. The first day I tried the pistachio one which was soo delicious I had to go back again the next day. The next day I got the classic it was good too, but I preferred the pistachio. Can't wait to go back as I have my eye on the maple one next. Only gripe is I wish they could do split flavors like half & half which they said they couldn't.

Stopped by BeaverTails in the Village with a group of five. The food tasted good - classic BeaverTails flavours that hit the spot - but the service was a bit slow. Only one girl was working, so things took a while.

All five orders came out at the same time, which was nice for timing, but unfortunately, the food wasn't hot by the time we got it. Still enjoyable, just would've been better fresh & warm.

Overall, a tasty treat & worth a stop, but would love to see quicker service or more staff later into the evening.

*Edit- went Tuesday Oct 14 at 8 pm to the store closer to the top of the mountain.

Ordered classic & bacon poutine (option to order turkey bacon), they forgot one of the poutine but provided it promptly after becoming aware. We also got the hazelnut beavertail which was warm & delicious. Conveniently located at the village for a quick grab.
