We ordered the beef & pork dumplings, & both were rich in flavor & absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, & the staff were very attentive & welcoming. We would definitely come back.
Lovely dumplings, lots of options in pork, seafood, lamb & vegetarian. Fewer in beef. Good soup as well. Good portions!
We came here two year ago they change a lot of things also we order new dumplings pork & kimchis & fry sweet pork they both good . Service is good & helpful we don't need wait so long we will come back soon !
I used to frequent their Lincoln Street spot near Concordia-always my go-to for meals with friends, & it never disappointed. Even with new competitors, no other dumpling place matches their quality & taste. Fried or steamed, everything's excellent-especially the lamb & coriander, pork-leek-shrimp, & even the tofu. The Chinatown location has a great vibe & faster service than ever. Wishing them continued success!
As a self-proclaimed dumpling aficionado, I couldn't resist stopping by Qing Hua Dumpling in Chinatown Montreal for dinner. Known for their fresh dumplings made to order, this spot is a go-to for many, & I finally had the chance to see what the hype was all about. We ordered the Chef's Special Dumplings & the classic Shrimp, Pork, & Chive Dumplings. Let me start with the standout: the shrimp dumplings. These were everything I could hope for-plump, juicy, & bursting with flavor. The shrimp & pork combo was perfectly balanced, with the chives adding that subtle aromatic kick. The dumpling skin was the right thickness, holding the filling together without overpowering the bite. Absolute perfection! Now, onto the Chef's Special. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the name. While the dumplings were good, they lacked the wow factor I was expecting, especially compared to the shrimp dumplings. The flavors were a bit muted, & I kept wishing for that extra pop that never came. A bonus point? They accept cashless payments, which makes the whole experience more convenient! Pro tip: Stick with the classics here-they're classics for a reason. The shrimp, pork, & chive dumplings are definitely worth the trip. Pair them with their house-made dipping sauce, & you're in for a treat. Overall, Qing Hua Dumpling delivers on quality & freshness, but some dishes shine brighter than others. Highlight: Shrimp, Pork, & Chive Dumplings Would I come back? For those shrimp dumplings? 100% yes!
I love dumplings so much I had to check this place out. I just got what the server recommended & stated was their most popular dumplings - the pork & cabbage. They were so good, so juicy & packed with flavour. The only thing I would suggest to the restaurant is to create a better tasting or unique chilli oil which could really elevate the dumplings even further. You have to check this out if you're in Chinatown in MTL & love dumplings. The prices are also so reasonable & so far from breaking the bank!
Best restaurant in Chinatown. Incredibly savoury dumplings. & way less crowded than Sammi! If you like coriander, get the Pork & Coriander. The Curry Beef is also super tasty. & be sure to get it steamed! The soup stays in the dumpling that way.
Great service & we were seated fast as big group with no reservation. Delicious soup dumplings & there were a good amount in each portion. Shrimp pork & scallop dumplings were excellent. The peanut butter pork dumplings were also great. So many options & looking forward to coming again.
this is my favorite restaurant in montreal. cant live without the steamed dill&pork dumplings
Best dumpling in Montreal & fantastic service. I order steam pork shrimp leek dumplings. It is very juicy, fired dumplings is very crispy, & price is reasonable. I love this place. If I have the chance I will definitely come again.
We come more often in this restaurant we never disappoint they have a very good steam dumpling & fry dumplings . The steam one is juicy . The fry one is crisp we love both of them ! We recommend pork leek & lamp coriander they are my favorite! The waitress have a good smile & good service ! Thanks again we enjoy here !
Easy, fast & tasty. Had 3 sets of steamed soup dumplings (lamb coriander, pork chive, chicken corn) & a very good wonton soup. I'd come back in a heartbeat.
We arrived after 9pm to our hotel nearby & discovered that the kitchen was closed at many nearby restaurants. We luckily caught this place before the kitchen closed, & we are so glad we did! We tried pork & green onion pan fried & chicken & coriander & chicken & cabbage steamed & all were delicious. Fresh, juicy, & really well priced. We're here for a week & my kids are already asking if we can eat there again!
I was there at 6 & walked right in to a table on a Friday night but I will warn you that line up JUMPED up materially behind me. The servers do a great job walking you through the menu if it's your first time. So many types of dumplings. I had the pork & dill. I would suggest the chefs combo though as my wife had that & really enjoyed it. Great experience, cheap pricing, & clean place!
Got the pork & chives dumplings & the hot & sour soup. Delicious but gave me diarrhea half an hour after eating. Consume at your own risk
AWESOME FOOD & AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE EVEN IN A HEAVY RUSH HOUR Quick story: My girlfriend & I ordered 3 rounds of 15 dumplings Pork Beef Chicken The waitress looked at us in SHOCK thinking "No way these 2 kids will finish all of these dumplings" We assured her we would & 30 mins later BOOM DONE ALL GONE All 45 of them it was too good I ate 30 & could go for more So sad seeing people around us barely finishing ONE single So I put you guys for the challenge of beating my record of 30 in 30 mins
Dumplings for dinner? Why not?!! We headed straight for Qing Hua Dumpling (Ravioli Chinois) for some yummy dumplings to keep our tummy happy. We ordered two different types... steamed dumplings & pan fried dumplings. The pan fried Lamb & Green Onions Dumplings were so tasty & flavourful. We also ordered some Pork & Mushroom Dumplings together with some Shredded Tofu Salad. Everything tasted delicious, especially with some hot green tea.
I've visited this amazing place several times, & it never disappoints. I can't resist sharing the joy with others; I've probably brought over 20 different friends already, & each time has been fantastic. It's easily the best restaurant I've tried in Chinatown, & I'm particularly enamored with their pork & shrimp dishes. The flavors are simply irresistible - a true culinary delight.
Fairly loud place even though the restaurant was not full, maybe people were just very loud while we were there...? Not the type of atmosphere that would make you want to hang around. The peanut butter dumplings were ok but a very small portion, not really appropriate for sharing unless you just want a bite to taste. We ordered 2 mixed baskets of 15 dumplings, the pork & green onions, the shrimp leek & egg were tasty but the chicken & corn were not good, the pork & pickled cabbage were average. Maybe others are tastier, but we could not know which ones. We tried to get advice from our server, but she was not too convincing on the popular ones to recommend... Definitely an inexpensive meal including tips: $42.94 It is ok for a quick bite, but there are other dumplings places in town which could possibly offer a better quality dumplings
A perfect stumble upon.... It looked inviting & there was no line out the door like some other places. We had hot & sour soup & the Pork mushroom dumplings. I ordered them fried but feel like i should have ordered them steamed, maybe we'll sneak back tomorrow & do a real comparison. Anyway the dumplings were excellent, service was good & it's a cool place. Lots of good restaurants in the area but you can't go wrong here if you love dumplings. By the time we left at 7 there was a line out the door :)
