This place is absolutely unforgettable. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is stunning-warm, elegant, & perfectly curated. The staff are incredibly welcoming & attentive, making the entire experience feel effortless & elevated. Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients. It's rare to find a place where the ambiance, service, & food are all this exceptional. I'll definitely be coming back.
I had a very disappointing experience at Punjabi Canteen in Laval. I ordered the Amritsari kulcha, but the taste was very poor & nothing like an authentic Amritsari kulcha. The flavor was off & the quality did not meet expectations at all.
Unfortunately, the dish was so bad that it didn't even feel worth the money. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for good Indian food. In my opinion, it doesn't even deserve a 0-star rating.

truly exceeded my expectations. The food is absolutely outstanding fresh, flavorful, & perfectly seasoned. Every dish we tried was rich in authentic taste, from the tender meats to the perfectly baked naan. You can really tell that everything is prepared with care & high-quality ingredients.
The service was just as impressive. The staff is welcoming, attentive, & genuinely focused on making sure you have a great experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt well taken care of.
Punjab Canteen is a fantastic spot for flavorful, authentic Indian food. The butter chicken is rich & perfectly spiced. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the service is friendly & attentive. Definitely a place I'd happily return to!

The food was absolutely amazing. I know a few indian restaurants in the area & in montréal, & i cant lie this is by far one of the best ones. The flavor is authentic & delicious, the portions are huge & the price is quite frankly too low. The staff is also super friendly. & last but not least you can bring your own wine!! A hidden gem!

I don't normally write reviews , but Punjab Canteen absolutely deserves one.
From the moment the food hit the table, I knew I was in for something special. The dish I ordered was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, & clearly made with care. The sauce was rich, creamy, & full of depth, the naan was fresh, warm, & perfectly cooked, & every bite felt comforting yet elevated. You can genuinely taste the quality & passion behind the food.
Portions are generous, presentation is on point, & everything tastes fresh & authentic - not rushed, not generic. This is the kind of meal that makes you slow down & enjoy every bite.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is welcoming & clean, & the service makes you feel like you actually matter as a customer. You can tell this place is run by someone who truly cares about their craft & their guests.
If you're anywhere near 2640 Bd Daniel-Johnson, Laval, do yourself a favor & come eat here. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, you will not be disappointed.
This restaurant deserves all the support it can get. I'll be back - many times.

A lot of Indian restaurants tone down the flavors to adapt to the locals… not these guys!! Bursting with flavors, with enough heat, everything was delicious & great value! Tried the lamb thali & the chana masala rice bowl.
(The table beside us really appreciated the bring your own wine!!)
Best Indian food in Laval! Everything on the menu is a must-try - full of authentic flavors & perfectly cooked. The hospitality & service are outstanding, with friendly & attentive staff who make you feel truly welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food & an excellent dining experience
Kurshanth has created something truly special here. This is hands-down the best Indian food I've found in Canada. The flavors are authentic, & the service is incredibly welcoming. You can see Kurshanth's passion in every dish served. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a really great meal!

Food: we palce order chana bathuras, lemonade ,amratsri naan ,butter chicken,chatpapri.. spent over 175$$$
Chat papri: 2/10only papri non dip or sauce availble in the palte..
Chnaa bathura: 3/10the bathura was extreamly oily,& too thick,the channa was overly cooked, & extreamlly blended with cinamon spices..
Amratsri naan :0👎 oily, the potatoas were not well blend with spices, has no flavor..
Butter chicken: 4/10 the sauce was too sweet & liquidy...
Punjab Cantene is a great restaurant to add to your list! It is so refreshing to find an Indian restaurant that focuses on genuine, authentic flavors rather than typical Westernized versions.
Every dish we tried, from the curries to the garlic naan, was deeply nuanced & complex. You can taste the quality & the traditional cooking methods in the perfectly balanced, aromatic spices.
Another great aspect is the location, previously I'd always go to Parc-ex for Indian cravings, but finding parking around there has been an increasing over the last few years. Plenty of easy parking at Punjab Canteen in Laval!
