About

Welcome to Pub BreWskey, the neighborhood pub in Old Montreal!

Initiated by three friends passionate about gastronomy, beer, and whisky, the BreWskey project came to life in 2015 with the opening of its first establishment. Focusing on our house-brewed beers, a refined selection of whiskies, and comforting pub cuisine, our pub embodies the simplicity of the principle that we offer you the products and service we would appreciate as customers. At the pub, you have access to our on-site brewed beers through 20 draft lines, in addition to a wide selection of carefully chosen whiskies and other premium spirits. Our pub, the most "intimate" among our three locations, provides a warm atmosphere perfect for small groups. In the summer, enjoy our spacious terrace on Saint-Paul Street and soak in the atmosphere of Old Montreal!

Honestly the food wasn't the best but their drinks were great. They are brewed right there so its fresh & the taste is amazing. Im not big on beer but the lager I was served was worth it. It had coffee notes but i forgot the name. I also had a cider it was great as well it had a light crisp refreshing taste.

Great place to hang out & refresh after a long walk to & through Old Montreal. Set at the northern end along Rue St.Paul, & abutting Notre Dame de Bon Secours Chapel, the pub has outdoor/above ground seating areas, but the real attraction is downstairs - a cool, darkish cellar where the brewing & cooking are done. Seating is plentiful & service is very friendly. Local beer selections & a non-local Apple Cider are on the menu as are various appetizers & main dishes…all pub-& smoked meat centric. Ordered the Cider, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, & Smoked Brisket Sandwich, which came with a generous serving of delicious French Fries. Drinks were delicious, food came out freshly made. The Onion Rings were crispy & well-fried, the Mac & Cheese was an utterly heavenly goo of Macaroni & Gruyère & other Cheeses - totally heavenly! The Brisket Sandwich & Fries were on point as well - great burger bun with generous portions of 24-hr smoked Brisket & Cheese! Fries were not greasy & utterly tasty. A wonderful meal following a long walk through Centerville & Old Town, we were set back CAD 58 for the meal & $20 for the drinks, including the heavy federal & state taxes & generous tips.
A place worth visiting each time!

One of the servers were borderline racist / insensitive, after we paid he unpromptedly said'konichiwa' to my friends, who are asian, but they are not even Japanese. Very unfortunate & disappointing experience because the establishment seems fine otherwise. Food & drinks were good, but management definitely needs to educate & train their staff better.

The food & drinks were fantastic, but our experience with one server was deeply disappointing.

We visited last night, & after we paid the bills, one middle aged man server saw us as Asian people so said konnichiwa to us, which was totally made no sense…Firstly, we did not react to him, & he then asked if we are Korean. Why did he assume where a client comes from before greeting someone in a specific language? The man server's behavior is kind of catcalling thing, which made us embarrassed & feel uncomfortable & completely overshadowed an enjoyable evening.

At Montreal BreWskey.
Having an Isaria lager (Isaria is a heirloom german malt made by Weyermann), a Kellerbier, a Triple IPA Milkshake, & a sweet imperial stout.
Canadian craft breweries don't know how to make lagers. Both lagers taste estery & ale-like; lagers should be crisp. The Isaria tastes like a blonde ale, the Kellerbier is as far from Franconia as a beer can be; an ok beer to the untrained drinker but an insult to anyone who visited Franconia. The TIPA & the sweet imperial stout are both excellent. The TIPA tastes fresh with plenty of good aromas & flavors, no oxidation & no hop burn. The stout is also extremely well-made, the coco, choc & vanilla come through beautifully.
Advice to brewers: stick to ales, you do them really well. For lagers, you need some brewing training.

Draft beers galore there were like 25 to choose from which is crazy. Tried the Svetly Pilsner which was solid, Cepage Nectar which was sweet & strong, Cumulus Citra & Galaxy which was very interesting, & Pagaille which was insane like drinking liquified tiramisu.

Pretzel was fire & the cheese spread it came with was good.

It was my last stop for my Montreal trip, & the servers were the nicest & kindest I encountered during my trip. They always smiled. I'm not talking about the food or drinks, whatever. The location is good as well. I really liked their service.

Amazing beer & incredible poutine! I've had some bad experiences with poutine recently, but BreWskey Pub showed me what great poutine should taste like! Thanks for the amazing food & drinks! Also, the service was excellent. Keep it up & you will have me visit more often…& with more friends every time.
