Great restaurant that we stumbled across looking for one final meal before we left Montreal! The staff was super helpful & kind. We had the Canadian poutine & classic hot dog & they were both delicious! Great location near the Gay Village & close to downtown (if you don't mind a little bit of a walk). this place is awesome, staff were attentive & nice. there are so many poutine options, i was jealous i could not try them all in one trip. i got the stroganoff poutine as well as the bbq gumbo hot dog. both were great, although i forgot i didn't like jalapenos, but that's a personal thing. the inside was quite clean despite it being a crazy time of winter. the only issue i had was it was a bit loud since it was busy, but that's not their fault.
the beef in the stroganoff poutine was AMAZING! very flavourful & tender, i wished i could just order a bowl full of it. the poutine itself was a very good portion for the price. the hot dog was cooked perfectly & the toppings were very good (excluding the jalapenos to my personal preference). i was worried the fries would get soggy fast because of all the gravy & sour cream, but they did not & it mixed wonderfully. it was delicious, i definitely recommend this place.View more
After having had such a bad experience at the Park Ave franchise, my friends & I felt we needed to give Poutineville a second chance & visited the original location on Beaubien. We were NOT disappointed! The service was fantastic, my hot dog was perfect, the Italian poutine was delicious & my friends loved their food as well. We met Camillo, one of the original founders of the chain & he's a class act. Thumbs up!View more

Great friendly service, & a really pleasant atmosphere. Kept it simple & ordered a classic poutine & a steamé (hot dog) which was really good although the poutine sauce was a little lacking in flavour. We also ordered the Montrealer poutine which was loading & delicious. Definitely would recommend.View more
I've had Poutine several times in the past, but I never found anything particularly special about it. However, this place completely changed my perspective. I ordered "The Handover," & I was not disappointed. I also enjoyed the "BBQ Jumbo" hot dog with caramelized onions.View more
Wonderful poutine restaurant in a very tourist friendly part of Montreal! Our service was fast & friendly, our server Chris was very attentive & made sure our drinks were never empty, & the other staff members made sure to check in on us & make us feel very welcome 😁 one large classic poutine was definitely enough to fill two bellies, but the hotdog toasties were so good we just had to have them too! & the side deep fried cheese curds melted so well with the marinara sauce! Next time we're in Montreal we look forward to trying some of the non-traditional poutine options here! The "china" sounded fantastic to me
