C'était l'un des pires services que j'ai vécu. Tout d'abord, Pas de sourire, ni de bonjour du jeune homme derrière le comptoir (qui je crois être le fils de la propriétaire). Ni un merci après avoir payé & laisser un pourboire (un peu plus de 3$ de pourboire sur une commande de moins de 20$). Mon chum qui ne parle pas français, ne réussissais pas à se faire comprendre (on s'entend que nous sommes au Complexe Alexis Nihon, à la croisée de Westmount & Montréal. Je comprends aussi que nous sommes au Québec).
J'ai dû intervenir à quelques reprises pour placer la commande.
Après presque 20 minutes d'attentes, mon chum a eue sa commande, il a demandé à la dame (propriétaire) pour du ketchup & de la mayonnaise (ben oui, il prend ça avec son poulet frit & ses frites). La dame a commencé à lui verser cela dans l'assiette & mon chum a pointé vers les petits contenants de plastiques & lui a demandé de verser le ketchup dans les petits contenants. La dame a pris un air offusquée.
Le jeune homme a apporté la mauvaise boisson, un coke au lieu d'un thé glacé, qu'il a changé lorsque mon chum (en anglais) lui a dit.
À la table, mon chum & moi avons goutés à la mayonnaise. C'était une sauce à l'ail. Rendu là, il ne voulait plus faire affaire avec ce resto.
Je suis allé parler à madame la propriétaire. Je lui ai dis que nous n'avions pas appréciés le service de monsieur. Tout en m'offrant un sourire un peu moqueur (Je lui ai même dis que je ne trouvais pas la situation drôle), sans s'excuser, elle m'a dit que son fils était nouveau au pays & qu'il ne comprenait pas trop le français. ??? Donc, Il ne parle pas l'anglais & a de la difficulté avec le français? Humm!
Les temps sont difficiles pour les restaurateurs c'est temps-ci & je lui ai souhaité bonne chance.
Le poulet par contre était bon. Il est frit dès que la commande est placé, ce qui explique le temps d'attente.
Love the chicken & their garlic sauce. Blends well with their rice too! The fries were also crispy & not oily unlike other restaurants. I did not regret buying from them & would recommend it to my friends.

Newest addition to the Alexis Nihon upstairs food court. As the name indicates, the menu centers around chicken offerings. I went for the chicken plate which I found oddly formatted. Platters like this will typically come with a bit of salad, especially for $18. This platter only had rice & chicken, although the meat portion seemed to substitute the lack of side. I think some people would prefer this but I'm not sure if I am one of them. The chicken was nicely seasoned & well cooked, the rice was a bit oily but tasty. I'm seeing compliments on their service but when I went to order, the lady didn't hear me trying to order when I was standing right in front of her. I finally got her attention & put in my order, service was not unfriendly from there but nothing commendable. Considering the price I wasn't too satisfied but maybe I would have been happier with a sandwich.
