I really enjoy this simple, effective & great tasting chain of restaurants that specialize in different types of chicken bowls along with a wide variety of vegetables & sauce toppings. The service is fast & convenient. I strongly recommend Poulet Rouge.
I came from Toronto to Montreal on a trip & had heard a lot about Poulet Rouge.
I decided I had to try it while I was here.
Oh man, the chicken is juicy & full of flavor.
The portions are generous & it feels fresh & well prepared.
The variety of toppings & sauces makes it even better.
Service was quick & the place was clean & welcoming.
Definitely a spot I would come back to whenever I visit Montreal again.
First off, I want to thank Riyad for his amazing service & hospitality! As someone who doesn't speak french, he took his time to explain the menu & made sure everything was understood. Quantity was great, & the food was fresh. Portions were made generously, & the chicken tasted great. For fans of spicy, I would recommend Volcano. Definitely pass by when in the Plateau

I was impressed with this place. It's like if Chipotle was good. Build a bowl of grilled chicken & veg over rice, quinoa, or couscous, you've got yourself a healthy, tasty lunch. & the staff was awesome. Definitely going back.
Order for takeout & it taste pretty decent & good but the portion were significantly smaller compared to the others Poulet Rouge location... I would personally avoid this one due as pictured, the portion of the ingredients & the chickens aren't I must admit to their usual standards.. It feel like a one piece of chicken instead of three pieces..
The staff are very pleasant & explained all the different options. The mini bowl comes with 3 toppings & they are very tasty. The regular size comes with 7 toppings!!! There are many options of toppings to choose from including fresh veggies. The base can be quinoa, brown rice or white rice then you get your toppings & chicken. Mini gets two strips of chicken & regular gets four. Both are fantastic portions! There are also a whole bunch of sauces to choose from to top your base. The price is also terrific for the amount of food you get. Definitely an anytime of the day or night spot to grab something to eat! It's a good option for groups where one person might wanna eat healthy & another person wants to indulge. There's that option for whatever you're looking for. They have poutine as well, but we didn't try that. We saw other people eating it though & it looked really good. The chicken isn't fried. It's white meat & it's grilled.
It was my first time eating at poulet rouge! The staff were super friendly & efficient, bilingual & patient. The service was perfect. As for the food, I got the shisha (ail/garlic) flavour chicken bowl with couscous, & the sauce was the basic coriander one. Big hit, I absolutely love how warm & well prepared my meal was, & the garnitures were plenty. The space was packed & my friend & I went at a time when it was busy, so i understand that people kept leaving & coming so it was a little messy where we ate.
Flavourful meal all around. While pieces of chicken aren't small, they aren't very large either so maybe get the 4 piece & get 2+2 flavor option. Couscous is fresh & toppings pair well.
