Review Summary

Pointe Claire Deli is widely celebrated for its delicious and diverse brunch menu, with frequent praise for the flavorful smashed potatoes, creative pancakes, and generous portions. The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, relaxed, and charmingly nostalgic, making it a favorite neighborhood spot for many. While most visitors enjoy the friendly service and high quality of the food, some experiences are mixed regarding operational consistency, such as wait times and food temperature. Additionally, the establishment has become a point of contention for families, as the lack of high chairs, restrictive stroller policies, and small booth sizes have led to difficulties for those dining with young children.

Good food but quite slow service.

Went there for lunch yesterday around 11h45 for lunch. Place was full but there was no waiting. Waitress 5/5. Ticket time a little long but worth it.
My husband had fried chicken & eggs. I had some kind of hamburger with bacon tomato mayo with yellow sweet buns. It was delicious. Just can't remember the name. Smashed potatoes, different but tasty.
Things to fine tune: learn how to present the food. When it arrived, our plates looked unattractive & unappealing.
Would def go back.
The place needs an overall lift, it looks neglected.
Food & service 5 ⭐?
Also, not wheelchair friendly/access or bathroom.
Lots of parking

Great honestly! Just don't get the huevos rancheros (really glad that they have them at all, by the way) because the actual diner food looked so much better. Those potatoes were spectacular though

old diner vibe.. our food was not hot when it came to our table so we told the waitress who immediately offered to reheat them but we were a bit pressed for time & declined
later she came to tell us that she would give us a 25% discount because of the food temperature... she was real pro-active & just that gesture is a guarantee we will return
as for the food, we had breakfast & apart from needing to be hotter, it tasted good

Not sure if this in other comments & that's on me for not checking. However, you'd think that a place open for breakfast during the day would have high chairs available or at least a booster with straps. I had to use my sweater to tie my toddler to the booster. The food & Caesar were also pretty bland especially for the price. Cost me around $70 because there was no real'kids' items & got'bunny butt pancakes'. Will not return.

The best place for breakfast & lunch,
The food, the service & the atmosphere- 10/10.
Make sure to just go & try out the place at least before leaving a review, as I saw a lot of reviews were under the influence of some Karen that didn't had her way.
But in general best place in town

Great great great diner. Absolutely recommend stopping in for lunch. We tried the braised beef Benny, chicken & cakes, mother clucker, & carrot cake pancake. Carrot cake pancake was probably the greatest pancake I've ever had in my life. Service is great & food is better, don't miss this place.
