View more
One of my favourite spot downtown. They have great kolsch. I'm not crazy about their food but definitely a good spot for drinks. In the summer they have a rooftop terrace.View more
I was there last summer & this is a great fun rooftop experience for Montreal.View more
Really cool multiple-floor rooftop bar (definitely go to the rooftop) in the middle of Montréal's organic Chinatown named after mathematician Henri Poincaré. Fun mathematical designs & creative drinks for anyone looking to enjoy a night out drinking in the fresh air. I had a mezcal that was wonderfully spiced & my partner had a sweet cocktail that was also delicious. Wish they had more references to the Poincaré Conjecture being resolved 🙈View more
This place has seating & a bar downstairs & also rooftop seating. I cannot comment on the rooftop as I did not wait for it. I got the beef & broccoli. The beef was super tender & the broccoli was cooked just right. Flavor was great. Nothing to complain about there. The bar had a fair selection but it wasn't everything I hoped for. (This was a recurring theme for the uppity restaurants in the area. Doesn't anyone carry more whisky selection here?) The staff was great & they seated me right away. They recognized that I did not speak french & explained that I could wait for the rooftop & sit at the bar. When there was space on the rooftop they kindly asked if I was interested & I declined. The inside seating was cool & dim. The music got a little louder as the night progressed. Maybe a touch too loud for me but I guess I'm getting old...View more

Been here twice now & have hated it twice. The rooftop bar is lovely, but the cocktails are some of the worst I've ever tasted. Just come out after drinking one that tasted like urinal balls seasoned with off-brand mouthwash. Shouldn't have forced it down, but the service was slow & it started raining, so we had to leave anyway as we were getting soaked. Not had the food, but freaking A are their cocktails bad.View more
Went for drinks on the rooftop. Initially we were told it was closed. I thought they just stopped seating people there. We sat downstairs inside waiting about 5 minutes then told a spot opened at the bar. The service was kind of slow but it was ok. Rooftop was nice.View more
Probably the coolest & most laid-back rooftop bar in Montreal. They offer a nice selection of locally brewed draft beer, with friendly service, right in heart of Montreal's Chinatown. Unfortunately, I haven't try the food yet, but the German beer was delicious, so I'm sure to be back to select more of their menu. To be honest, the main attraction is the rooftop, so I wonder if Poincaré is as appealing in the winter when you'd be delegated indoors, on the floor below. In any case, Poincaré is lots of fun & worth a visit.View more
Good beer, good ambiance inside & even better on the rooftop terrace!View more
Nice rooftop & good drinks. Little minor note for the food menu. I would love to see fuller meals.View more
I had exactly the same experience as another reviewer from a few weeks ago. My friend & I stood awkwardly for the hostess to spot us while it was quiet inside with barely any customers. We didn't eat, but the drinks were mediocre & way overpriced. We were asked to pay immediately before we even got out drinks, like why do I need to tip before I even get the service & why does 18% show as the minimum on the machine? Bloody Caesar was too salty & spicy for no reason. My friend waited a much longer time just for a draft beer. When we were finally told there was room on the rooftop, we had to basically sit right next to another group & share their table, which seems to be a normal thing at that place but still felt awkward, & there really isn't much of a view to justify going up there anyway. I'm guessing the food must be this business' strong point since most people are leaving enthusiastic reviews based on that, but from what we've seen this place is outrageously overrated & you can do a lot better in the area.View more
