Reviews describe Plâts De Pates Hong Mère as a standout Chinese restaurant with authentic northern flavors, generous portions, and good value, and many say it is among the best in the area with favorites like tofu with peanut sauce, eggplant, dumplings, and braised pork, while takeout is consistently praised and the staff is often described as friendly. Several comments emphasize the overall freshness and variety, noting that the dishes can taste like home for those familiar with northern Chinese cuisine, and some diners declare the restaurant a go to for gatherings. There are caveats, including notes that some items can be too salty or too sweet, beef and other dishes can have texture issues, and a dish such as pad thai is not authentic, leading some to avoid certain menu items. The ambience in the dining room is described as bright with utilitarian lighting which some patrons dislike, though many are satisfied with the service and the speed of both dine in and takeout. In sum, the consensus is that the food is flavorful and plentiful, with a mix of strong endorsements and constructive criticisms, making it a place many plan to return to and explore more dishes.
Un restaurant très délicieux. Je me sens rassasié à chaque fois que je viens ici. Le porc braisé & les nouilles au chou mariné sont particulièrement délicieux.
4.4 average? Are we talking about the same restaurant? Half the dishes were too salty, while the other half was too bland. The lamb dish was a complete disaster, like the lid fell off the spice container & they decided to serve it to us anyway. Plus, some dude sitting at the table next to us sneezed over 50+ times.
J'adore ce restaurant, bonnnnne bouffe! Mais deux plats 43$ quand même. Ils devraient faire des combos. par contre ils devraient tamiser les lumières. C'est un peu trop eclairé

Food is fantastic & the service is always good when I go , it's very fresh & not North American & breaded - I imagine this is closer to authentic Chinese food than most places . I highly recommend & the portions are extremely generous.
Delicious. 6 years after the food have only improved! The new decor makes it even better! Flavourful just right salt plenty veggies, I will keep ordering & dining in. Thanks!!

On adore le général tao, le padthai & le chou de Shanghai, mais franchement tout est excellent! Le pork belly est à essayer aussi❤️ les portions sont généreuses, il en reste toujours pour le lendemain!
I went to China for 3 weeks last year. The food was amazing. Homg Mere is the most authentic Chinese food next to being in China. I visit this restaurant at least once a week.
I thought I was back in China! Such an authentic Chinese restaurant... down to the fact that old men are drinking full glasses of straight baijiu! gotta love it
If you like real Chinese food you will love it here. Not your typical North American fare. I took my Chinese girlfriend there with her Mother & they really enjoyed it.
