Plateau Cuisine Indienne receives praise for authentic Indian cuisine with flavorful, well cooked dishes and generous portions, a welcoming, clean atmosphere, and friendly staff. Several reviewers call it one of the best Indian meals in Montreal, noting a satisfying spicy sweet and flavorful profile, while others feel portions can be small for the price and some dishes could be better balanced in taste. The experience is described as brilliant and delicious with affordable prices, yet there are concerns about value after a change in management, with reports of overcharging and inconsistent taste and service. Specific menu items get mixed reviews: some dishes like butter chicken and lamb biryani are praised for flavor and spice, while a mughlai biryani platter is cited as having adequate portions but not the best taste, and items such as cheese naan or pakora are mentioned as lacking expected features. There are also critiques about takeout dynamics, a takeout counter feel, limited French service, and a front desk impression of disorganization along with comments that portions seem to shrink over time.
I found the place randomly & did a big order. Personally I think it's like a hidden gem. Loved the butter chicken & the ginger chicken. Mango lassi was so creamy! The nan was particularly chewy but wouldn't jump to say it was undercooked. Also did try the curry leentils & chickpeas ( idk if they put it by mistake) or mix the order in any case was a bit to much spicy for my taste but good as well. Also the samosas are 10/10 including the nice basmati rice perfectly cooked at perfection. Finally for for the dessert I tried my favorite Gulab Jammun & fore it was a bit dry but the taste was delicious.

This restaurant used to be great. I don't know what happened. The quality has nosedived, maybe because of new ownership or new management. They say they open at 3 p.m., but if you call to order takeout between 3 & 4, they just seem confused & annoyed. & the dishes don't taste like they used to.
Overly expensive, the waitor PRESSURES YOU to buy more & more & more.... very uncomfortable.. & when I get home the pack is completely leaking 🙃
When the clients are paying this much you should be careful of this type of thing. Also I asked for cheese naan & got a regular instead. Food was average. Nothing more to say.
Authentic Indian cuisine with excellent taste & quality.
The food is flavorful, well cooked, & served in generous portions.
Friendly staff & a clean, welcoming atmosphere.

It's good but they overcharged me. It's should've been 14.50 cad with tax, but I got charged 20 cad. Would've rated higher 🫤 There also isn't much chicken in what I ordered.
