Pizzeria Locali in Montreal serves up artisanal pizzas made with fresh, high-quality and local ingredients. With a cozy atmosphere and a focus on authentic flavors, it’s the perfect spot for pizza lovers in the city.
Locali receives praise for its great atmosphere, friendly service, and outstanding pizza, with a crust often described as perfect and toppings that meld well on even simple slices; the menu features classic New York style pies and a range of extras, and drinks like the Negroni are a favorite; value stands out with affordable prices and lunch deals; the cozy neighborhood vibe is a common highlight, although space is intimate and reservations are sometimes necessary; a few experiences note occasional delays or minor mix ups, but overall guests say they would return for dine in or takeout and to order a whole pie.
Pizzeria Locali ranks among my top pizzerias of Montreal. My funghi pizza was of superb quality. The restaurant was fairly busy & I got the feeling it's the usual. As much as I enjoyed the excellent dough & overall experience of the pizza, the true star of the show was the whipped chocolate mousse. Beautifully presented, this mousse is heavenly fluffy & delicious. I am going to go back sometime just to order two of them I swear. My server did forget me at the bar for a bit in the beginning, taking the order of some other patrons who arrived after I was seated which slowed me down a bit. But it was busy so it was forgivable, her service was fine otherwise. I like the layout of the restaurant as well, it is comfortable. I got a nice view into the kitchen from the bar.

One of the best pizza's that I have had in a very long time. I truly recommend the Margarita pizza as it one of the best I have ever had in Canada. Well done to the staff & restaurant
Just stopped in to grab a slice & try this place out, & we were not disappointed.
Possibly one of the best American style slices I've had in Montreal so far.
The pizza game in this city is ramping up in the last few years, & Locali is securing their spot at the top of the pack. Their crust is just perfection, & even on an all dressed slice where you might think there's too much going on, the ingredients meld together nicely & the crust holds up.
Will definitely be back to dine in & enjoy the cozy vibe, & get a whole pie!

Edit:
Came back with friends to sit down & eat as well as one other time just for a quick lunch, & we loved it both times. The prices are quite unbeatable right now, & everyone absolutely loved the pizza. Will be back as part of a food tour very soon!
2026-04 -I have been going to Locali often since it opened & unfortunately the service was not on par as when it first opened 6 months ago - I went with a friend & it was his first time so I hoped for better - the cashier was very dry in her responses which also he noticed & disliked .
I asked if they had the Diavola Pizza or something with Sopressata/ Spicy - she responded quickly in French saying' quoi? Huile piquante ? Non ?' - Again I asked her if they had anything coming out of the oven as the selection was slim - Responded' Ce que vous voyez, c'est ce que nous avons. Vous pouvez prendre une table & commander entière si la sélection ne vous convient pas.'- finally we just took 3 pepperoni slice - with hot oil on it as she suggested - after opening our box none of the slices had hot oil - wasn't worth going back to deal with her .
Another thing I disliked is the fact that the seating was almost all free - we wanted drinks but she said we cannot sit at the table as they need to clean it & offer us table service & we would not be able individual slices at the counter & sit there - so I said screw the drinks there & went to Brunos.
Anyways , service was lacking I won't be going back soon.
Initial review - Very nice spot - no headaches just great slices at a great cost. Simple - how it should be.
Pizza was absolutely delicious, garlic bread serving was very large & tasted great. Price was good, but the wait time for the food was very long. We went there mid-afternoon & I can't imagine how long the wait would be during lunch or dinner rush. The server herself was responsive & fairly quick though! Overall great place, just expect a wait for your food.
Amazing spot! Super friendly vibe & great atmosphere. Louis Philip, our waiter, was awesome. He was friendly, knew the menu, & made us feel right at home.
We got the Gigi Bacon & the Pepperoni Diavola. The dough is fresh & homemade. The Gigi Bacon had a really good vodka rosé sauce, but the Pepperoni Diavola was the standout, spicy honey & ricotta combo is 🔥 definitely a must-try.
Dessert was the Lemon Napolitan sweet but not too heavy, just right.
The sit down dinning area is very small, so I'd say best for groups of 4-6. Definitely call ahead to reserve!
