Le Pirate de Laval is an upscale Italian & Seafood restaurant that everybody must try. This place is not your usual fine Italian restaurant; its interior makes this restaurant so unique.
The restaurant is located in Pont Viau district of Laval on Des Laurentides Boulevard, and has been there for the past 27 years. The interior is nicely decorated in a ship like setting, you get the feeling of being in a pirate ship. Beautiful antique style paintings and tapestries, wooden walls and floors, and all comes with a friendly service. The menu features a delightful variety of traditional Italian appetizers and starters and a good selection of excellent pasta, meats and seafood dishes.
This restaurant also offers private rooms that could hold from 20 to 80 people which makes this restaurant an excellent choice for a business lunch, for any type of parties, and especially for a beautiful romantic evening. I ate there on a Saturday evening, got there around 9 great retro restaurant themed like a ship, there was an accordion player that sang, I had the lobster with pasta with escargot & shrimp as entree, good food & atmosphere the service was quick & the waitress was attentive, I would recommend & I plan to return, you have to make a reservation which was pretty easy on the website.or by phone.View more

Amazing 6 course meal for a birthday gathering.
We had so much food! bread, pasta, salad, prosciutto, roasted vegetables, calamari & a main course of either salmon, steak or lamb.
The staff was amazing & the atmosphere was great. A little tight as there were alot of people but the accordian player really added to the overall atmosphere. It felt more like a family gathering than a restaurant.
The bathrooms could use a renovation but were clean.
I personally loved everything but the salad & I found the pasta a bit doughy but the pasta sauce was tasty. Everything else was fresh, plentiful & delicious...especially the lamb. My wife didn't like the rice that came with the salmon & she also found the pasta to be just ok. She said the salmon was amazing & really liked the roasted vegetables.
I cannot comment on the cost as we were treated to dinner but the overall experience was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a great evening of food & entertainment. Our meal was almost 4 hours long as there was 6 courses plus some time for tea.View more

Best bang for buck authentic italian restaurants you can find. Fried calamari are some of the best in town. We had the grilled mushrooms & tomatoes & cheese appetizers which were delicious. Main courses saw the likes of Full grilled fish which is a rare find in restaurants nowadays. Rib steak was juicy & tender & rivals some of the best overpriced steakhouses around. Lobster & pasta duo plate was fantastic also. Prices are extremely affordable for the quality & quantity you get. Its really unmatched in that regard. Great for a family supper or even a nice date night. Very unique vibe. This is where all my future events will be held ! Great menu options for parties. 5/5 !View more
