Pigeon Espresso Bar is described as a place with excellent coffee and an artistic or cozy vibe, with some reviews praising fast, attentive service and others noting unfriendly or average service. The cafe is linked to a nearby pizza place, and the two atmospheres do not always blend, which can leave diners with mixed impressions. Board games, retro decor, and a welcoming neighborhood feel come up frequently, making it a spot many want to return to, even if space can feel cramped at times. Coffee quality is praised across several entries, including strong lattes, good matcha, and flavorful drinks, while a few reports mention a cappuccino with almost no foam or a dessert not being fresh. The location is noted as central in downtown Montreal near the library, with some appreciating the casual vibe for a bagel or scone, though prices are sometimes described as not being the cheapest. Overall, reviews present Pigeon Espresso Bar as a popular hub for coffee and casual hangouts with a mix of highs and some drawbacks.
Artistic cafe with delicious coffee. As an extra bonus they are open early to serve people like me that need a nice flat white at 7am! Proper Australian standard coffee too!
One of my favorite cafés! Had a scone & a chocolate caramel cookie with coffee - everything was just perfect. Cozy vibe, great flavors, & the kind of spot you just want to keep coming back to. ☕🍪🕊?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited Pigeon Espresso Bar & was absolutely blown away! The nostalgic decor instantly transported me back in time, creating a warm & inviting atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The vibe is just right-cozy yet vibrant. The baristas are incredibly skilled & passionate about their craft. I ordered a latte & a cappuccino, & both were not only delicious but beautifully crafted. The latte art was stunning, showcasing the baristas' expertise & attention to detail. If you're looking for a place that serves exceptional coffee in a charming setting, Pigeon Espresso Bar is a must-visit. I can't wait to return for more of those delightful brews!
Cafe & pizza/deli combined. The cafe part is really nice & the coffee is superb. I ordered a soy decaf latte & it was very milky. I also ordered a s'more cookie because they looked so good! In the pizza/ deli part they sell pizza slices, burgers, fries & other things. The smells were incredible & the theme was very 80/90s. It was really nice. There are some spots to work, but charging ports are limited. Service was meh.
Great little coffee spot. I came here with a book early in the morning & ordered an iced Americano with extra shots & extra ice. It was made to perfection, & it was lovely sitting outside & sipping my coffee while reading a book.

One of the best coffee we had in the city. The place is very cool & welcoming. We loved the combination of coffee/ haircut/ tattoos in one place. Well designed & very friendly people. We got the T-shirt too :)
I've been going on & off for 3 years as the food & coffee are decent. I've officially given up on this place because each time I've been there, the baristas are beyond rude, & look like they'd rather be doing anything else but their jobs. You feel like you're interrupting them when you walk in. This isn't the best way to standout/retain customers when there's so many other options in the area.
Today I enjoyed my tea & smoothie here while reading a book. However, I found layout of the café a bit inconvenient. The narrow corridor made it difficult for people to see the menu while waiting in line to order their drinks. Place divided in two different sections, one selling pizza & the other coffee & pastries. Only two small tables for two close to the windows, & I was fortunate to secure one. Despite this, the café offered some board games, which added to the overall ambiance. It seemed like a popular spot for people to gather, enjoy pizza or coffee, & engage in games. However, the combination of pizza, coffee, & board games felt a bit mismatched to me.
They don't make them like this anymore. Quick, nice & very good job of a great espresso. They girl who makes the espressos is great & the small is just big enough to have one of the best coffees in the city. Drawback is that everything else feels a bit too expensive.
