Discovered this vibrant place during our recent short trip to Montreal & our craving for some good European breakfast & man this thing blew our expectations!!! Starting from the service & courtesy, really top notch. We were with 3 kids & we felt welcomed.
The ambiance & decor are nice. Really adds a positive vibe to this place. We decided to go with their shakshuka, pancakes, & croissants along side their coffees. Nothing disappointed us; infact tasted very good. Not bad on the pocket as well. 10/10.View more
Great latte & best shakshuka I have eaten so far!View more
I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I came for lunch & it was bright & cheerful. I started with a latte & the presentation was lovely. Then for lunch I ordered the shakshuka…which is soft cooked eggs in a middle eastern style tomato sauce which was delicious. My friend had a simple omelette.View more
Definitely a little disappointed, 4th time going to this location, try to visit every time I come from Toronto. Last week was not the same tasty dishes that I always get & now definitely expect from pigeon...I'm just sad tbh I wanted great food. Pancakes & Shakshuka were not the top tier standard of pigeon cafeView more
Went today in the morning, Shakshukas & the atmosphere were really good, but the service wasn't up to the task: #1 they took about 25mins without taking our order until we needed to get up & call one of the waiters; #2 we requested a baby chair from minute one, but they also forgot to bring it, & again, we needed to get up to remind them; #3 one of us ordered a regular coffee, but got an americano with some kind of chocolate cake, which apparently was ordered by our neighbor table, one more time, we needed to get up & call one of the waiters so they could take the coffee & cake back; #4 we also ordered a salad, but we didn't get it along with the main dishes because the waiter forgot to put it in the order, though he managed to get it quite quick, probably in less than 5mins; #5 got the impression that the waiters serving our table had nearly no experience, or they weren't happy about their job, or maybe both; all waiters serving our table had a "I don't care" attitude. Pigeon Caffe has great food, its in an amazing location, & have a cozy atmosphere, I'll come back for sure, but hopefully management takes this review into accountView more
The food was quite basic & disappointing, to be honest. I ordered the shakshuka, but there was nothing special about it. I was expecting a burst of flavors. However, the presentation can definitely enhance the dining experience, especially for a dish like shakshuka. The vibrant colors & the way the ingredients are arranged can make it more appealing!View more
This place has gone down. I always order the classic shakshuka, & in the last 12 months, they have been unable to cook a proper one. The eggs were fully cooked & the sauce was burnt due to the cast iron pan being too hot. When it was flagged to the staff, they were unapologetic & still charged us for an uneaten dish. Such a disappointment. Will not be returning.View more
Beautiful, leafy interior design with a covered patio. Excellent oat latté. Good Pigeon sandwich, excellent waffle fries & really good shakshuka.View more
I went here with friends we had flat whites, sabich Benedict, merguez shakshuka, waffle fries, & halloumi & labneh (& coffee of course)! Everything was yummy 🤤 & decor was chique. 👌 Make sure to arrive early to get seats outside. Bonus: Les plats à l'entrée sont drôles & il y a une murale de Larry David. Les toilettes individuels & musique 🎵 The plates at the entrance are funny & there is a mural of Larry David. Single stall toilets & music 🎶 il y a des chaises hautes pour les enfants. High chairs for kids.View more
The shakshuka was phenomenal. Wish it was bigger but that's just the American in me being hungry 🤤 for 2 people you can eat very well for 50 CAD & a drink for both. Definitely worth.View more
Amazing quality service, food is delightful (recommended the halloumi shakshuka). There was a lovely french girl that was very responsive & sweet. I definitely recommend for dates / brunches as the ambiance is amazing!View more
