Our skin carries the customs, roots, and traditions that shape our identity. It is the sparkle of the stars that guided us north, the hidden abundance of our mountains, and the endless blue of the sea that rocked us in childhood.

Piel Canela is more than just a Latin restaurant in Montreal, it’s an invitation to travel through culture and flavor from the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, on vibrant Saint-Denis Street. Our menu highlights authentic tastes: from freshly prepared ceviche to chilaquiles as flavorful as in Mexico, from colorful and creative cocktails to reinvented crêpes for brunch.

Food looks great, but tastes very bland & underwhelming. If you like taking photos of your dish; this is a great place. If you want to eat really yummy food, na uh… the sweet options may be great. But the savoury ones are -again- very underwhelming :)

We went there for my birthday & it was amazing!! There was a live dj, the atmplosphere was great & the service was really good as well! The portions were really filling & the presentation was fabulous!

The chilaquiles were truly exceptional, offering a delightful combination of flavors & textures. The pain doré was equally impressive, with its golden-brown crust & soft interior. I must say, the drinks were incredibly delicious, perfectly complementing the meal. It was a truly satisfying & enjoyable dining experience overall.

So so so tasty 🤤 omg the grapefruit & orange mimosas are to die for along with the food 🥝 it's so good the chilaquiles are amazing along with their shrimp pancakes 🥞 so you should go here if you're smart 🤓 my girlfriend wrote this post lmao lol

A friend recommended me to try there because according to her (she's Mexican), this place is authentic. I went for brunch. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a gentleman who invited me to sit by the bar. He then showed me the menu & answers some of the questions I had. I then tried their papas benditas which consisted of 2 potato'hashbrown' topped with eggs, pork belly & mushrooms, chimichuri & chimichuri cream. To my surprise, it was incredible! The pork was done to the point it was easily breakable. The potato & eggs complemented well the brunch & the mushrooms were delicious. This plate brought me happiness on this day of STM strike! Service was excellent (I even got to see him prepare food for the day haha!)! If I had a bigger appetite I would've tried more. I guess it'll be for a second visit!

Very nice place. The brunch was delicious. Loved the'Patatas Benditas' &'Chilaquiles'. You can also enjoy the terrace. Best to reserve in advance. Walking distance from the Metro station.

Jessica a été une super serveuse!! J'ai passé un magnifique brunch avec mes amis & la nourriture était tout simplement excellente.

L'ambiance dans le restaurant était tres agréable. Je pense que je vais revenir très bientôt.
