Absolutely loved this place! The staff is amazing, & the food was so yummy & comforting. If I could recommend one food item, I would recommend the chilaquiles, & for a coffee order, I would recommend the latte that comes with the mexican spices (& bonus tip- replace the regular milk with coconut milk).

It is definitely on the pricier end, the drinks were 8$ & the food was 25-26$, but I think it was worth it, considering the quality/taste of the food, the good customer service & the great vibe (loved the spanish music they had on, & the decor)!

I'm definitely going back again! :)

The best food I've had in Montreal in a very long time!!!!

Piel Canela's dishes are so creative & bursting with flavour. To eat, we tried Las Papas Benditas & the Pain Doré des Tropiques, both of which were sensational both in taste & presentation. For drinks, we had the Batido Horchata & the Pizca de Coco, which were generous in size for the price!

Besides the meal itself, the space was beautifully decorated, the music was nice but not too loud, & the servers were all so friendly & welcoming!

Piel Canela is not cheap, but I cannot recommend it enough for the occasional treat. Truly one of the best spots in Montreal!

Tutto molto buono, ho apprezzato soprattutto las papas benditas e i chilaquiles, anche il french toast era buono. Prezzi un po' sopra la media. Musica troppo alta e nel menù i termini in spagnolo non erano spiegati portandoci spesso o a chiedere delucidazioni o a cercare su Google, basta mettere una piccola descrizione tra parentesi per rendere il menù comprensibile a tutti e magari insegnargli qualche termine in una nuova lingua. Più che un brunch però per me è meglio come pranzo a sé stante vero e proprio. Non abbiamo assaggiato le bevande

I saw all the great reviews online & I must say what a disappointment. The service was ok but nothing special. The drinks were good but I must say the cafe de olla was too sweet. However the food was cold & blend. The presentation was really nice so it was really upsetting to taste it & not to enjoy it at all. I actually let the server know that the food was cold & she didn't do anything about it. It's so frustrating to pay that much for what we got. Also the music was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other. I must say that I was so disappointed that I won't go back.

They charge me 2 times on my bill :( , the atmosphere is good , good vibe & good music but the choice of food is not still latino gourmet for my people s choice on my table , maybe giving other menu? Prices also can be arranged a Lil bit i think.

Hoy fuimos a comer a''Piel Canela'' y solo tengo cosas positivas que mencionar:

1) Llegamos sin reservación una mesera muy gentilmente nos permitió ocupar una mesa mientras llegaban los clientes de la reservación

2) La comida deliciosa y tragos ricos, se nota el amor que le ponen a todo el menú.

3) Pueden ver cómo preparan los platos, es tal cual como si te sentaras alrededor de la barra de la cocina de tu casa a esperar que tu familia cocine

4) Es precioso el restaurante, mil puntos para el diseno de interior.

5) Es evidente que el equipo está muy bien coordinado para atender las mesas, cada persona tiene una función.

6) Le han puesto tanto amor a su proyecto que hasta la música que escuché en el bano, tiene sentido con el concepto del sitio.

Gente de''Piel Canela'', les deseo muchos comensales, mucha prosperidad y que el amor que ponen en cada plato se siga multiplicando de formas maravillosas en sus vidas.

The food was delicious, the service was great & we had an amazing time! My personal favourite was the golden latte & we loved the music too (there was a DJ). Milan was our server & he was so friendly & answered all our questions about the menu :)

Food was great & our waitress was very nice, but I will never understand why restaurants play very loud club-like music. There was literally a dj on a Sunday morning & it was hard to hear the person in front of me. If this is what you like, then great, but it's not for me.

A must try! Portions are small but very rich in flavor & color. We were just looking at everyone's order around us. The mix of tastes with the artistic play of colors satisfies all senses! It was not pricy as I imagined. The beverages were unique. They have a great chef! I ordered Salade Costena de Pieuvre. It was full of Octopus meat & very tasty. My friend had the French Toast & she said it was very light & not comparable to anything she has tried before! It was served with an apple sauce, she felt it tasted like heaven I highly recommend it. Its small you've better reserve. The vibes are great for young people. The music is a bit loud if you look for a cozy place. I really admired the interior design. You will not be disappointed! I don't recommend to go with a kid!

The food is amazing, & the Latin twist adds so much flavor to every dish ✨ The place is nice clean & the music is enjoyable! I highly recommend the shakshuka, chilaquiles, & their desserts! The staff is incredibly friendly, & the manager is very attentive. Thank you I will definitely come back!
