I had heard about the place from knowing the owners other locations, I'd also seen it all over social media & it held up to the hype. The decor, drinks, service were amazing, the menu is such out of the box brunch food, it's refreshing. Highly recommend!

La nourriture est vraiment excellente mais le service que nous avons reçu ne donne aucunement envie d'y retourner. Nous avons été servis par une certaine Victoria qui nous mis dehors alors que je n'avais pas terminé de manger & ma soeur n'avait pas terminé sa boisson. En arrivant on vous dit que vous avez la table pour 1h30 & en arrivant à 11h30 on nous déposait l'addition à 12h10 en essayant de nous débarrasser sans demander. Nous avons payé en laissant un très petit pourboire car ça se mérite, & Victoria m'a arraché la machine des mains en nous disant "au revoir" d'un ton désagréable alors que nous n'avions toujours pas terminé nos boissons. À 12h20 elle vient nous dire "Va falloir partir parce qu'on a une autre réservation qui arrive" donc 40min avant ma fin de notre temps réservé & avec 4 autres tables vide & plusieurs autres en terrasse & au bar. Un service inadmissible pour fidéliser la clientèle. Je ne recommande donc que si vous ne tomber pas sur elle, le reste du staff avait l'air correct

Today on Mother's Day, we had a reservation we made a week ago. Unfortunately, the bakery was not fresh & the cookie I ordered was literally a rock. After an hour & a half, the waitress asked us to leave even though we wanted to continue eating. When the manager brought us the bill rather annoyingly she again pointed out the policies of the time limits for consumption in the Califa & Piel Canela restaurants. Honestly, the amount of time we were given is absurd for sharing with friends. Finally, don't be fooled by the hype on social media as the amount of food vs the price is extremely high.

J'y suis allée pour bruncher & j'ai adoré! Le lieu est beau, l'ambiance était bien avec le DJ. Très beau bar. Mon mimosa était délicieux. J'ai pris la crêpe & je pense que c'est l'une de mes meilleures à vie. Le plat était magnifique. J'y retournerai cet été pour expérimenter la terrasse.

A brunch that you must try in Montréal! The dishes are AMAZING, well-served & with a beautiful presentation. It's the authentic mexican cuisine with a modern twist. It brings you back to your roots while giving you the impression of discovering something fully new. Service is outstanding: quick, kind, & effective. All waiters/waitresses know what they're doing & provide a warm, nice service. The atmosphere is spiritual, trendy, & original. Bravo to the owners & the full team! I hope to come back soon & try the mixology. (Also they have t-shirts available & they're super cool.) P.S.: reviews saying it's too sweet or smoky or spicy are misleading. If they expect tex-mex or commercial latin cuisine, this is not the place. Latin cuisine is intense, sweet, spicy & spiritual.

Lovely experience! This place was great to have a brunch in a creative way. First of all, the staff was very gracious, welcoming & well trained. The music & decoration were ideal to create a great atmosphere. The drinks were very original & creative. The food was unique, had a lot of flavor & the portions were generous. I fell in love with the combo of conchas with artesanal coffee. This perfect combination will undoubtedly make you close your eyes & feel at home. Without a doubt, worth trying!

This restaurant is decorated with a modern mexican twist. The music is very loud for a brunch spot, we had to yell to hear eachother. Before placing our orders the waitress came around saying that she was "offering us some typical mexican sweets". In my world, when someone uses the word offer, it means its free. We were unpleasantly surprised that we were charged 7$ for one cookie EACH! That being said, the food was excellent & so were the drinks. All very beautifully presented & generous portions. Overall it was a good time but wouldn't go back.. 60$ per person for a brunch is wild.
