Stumbled upon this gem during a walk, saw amazing drinks on every tables & decided to try it out - trust me you won't regret it! Drinks were top tier with amazing presentation, not to mention hella delicious. Special shout outs to Anna, our mixologist, who made the experience extra fun & memorable!!
We sat at the bar since we did not have a reservation & loved chatting with Ana while she made drinks & shared her favorites for us to try. The duck entrees were fantastic, nice & juicy, cooked perfectly. Their version of espresso martini is the best I've ever had!! Very smooth & well balanced. Highly recommend checking them out for brunch. Everything is well prepared & the attention to detail is impeccable. Cheers!!!

We had a great time at Piel Canelle. It was our first time on the terrasse. The food was excellent. The pancakes to die for. The drinks not only looked refreshing but were little works of art. Better than the 5 star hotel terrasse we visited afterwords. Highly recommend. I had the shakshouka. Tasty. Spicy. Will definitely re visit.
I visited Piel Canela with 2 friends for brunch & our experience was wonderful. Our reservation was automatically bumped out by 30 minutes, which I understand must be done sometimes to maintain service standards but it was a bit inconvenient as I was coordinating with other people. Our server, I forget her name unfortunately, was detailed, patient, knowledgeable as we asked her a number of questions about the ingredients, & she even remembered our order by memory (which was very impressive!). The ambience: very nicely decorated, it looks high end but everyone is pretty easy-going, & there is a live DJ. It was cool. I am not a fan of open kitchens but my friends enjoyed watching all of the dishes come out. The food. WOW. The food was delicious. Very nicely arranged & presented, & everything was tasty & fresh. The menu is creative, interesting & varied. I also think the menu is priced very reasonably. The drinks are amazing -- many non-alcoholic options for those who do not partake. Make sure to try the passionfruit drink! I can't wait to return to try additional menu items!
Vu sur TikTok, j'avais hâte de tester ce nouvel établissement. Comme c'est notre 1ere fois, l'hôtesse nous explique le principe du menu & je me laisse tenter par un petit pain artisanal, le Puerquitos de Piloncillo à 7.5$, (sur le menu, ça disait que ça venait avec une tasse de café de Olla, que je n'ai jamais eu). Coté boissson, Squimo de Mazapán & Latté Azul. Pour ma part j'ai pris le Pancakes del Amanecer, bon & copieux (je n'ai pas pu finir), mes amis ont pris la Tartine Saumon Pawqar, très frais en bouche & léger. Le Sandwich Condorito est délicieux & consistant. Petit bémol au moment de l'addition, c'est 18% par défaut, alors que rappelons le, aucune loi n'oblige à donner du pourboire, c'est juste entré dans les moeurs. J'ai donné un bon pourboire parce que le service était bon & attentionné, j'ai moins apprécié qu'on force la main des gens par défaut.

Le DJ live a fait l'ambience avec une musique hip hop/r&b meilleure que le club de la veille. Déçue de la Patate béni... l'équilibre des saveurs n'était pas au rendez-vous & c'était un peu sec/gras/manque de sauce. Les pains dorés miam tho. Les drinks sont malade. Service ok.
Nice new little corner in Montreal for brunch. The meal was very good & very well seasoned. No complaints about the service either. I would simply not recommend for anyone who needs food substitution. The waitress help us find a meal my friend could eat (she can't eat pork & is pregnant) since some of the things she wanted to eat could not be cooked a different way or changed. It's fine & it's their policy & the waitress helped us find something else on the menu & my friend food was very good, good recommendation 👍🏻. This is just an FYI for people who need substitute or change their order or asked to have their eggs cook a different way. It's good to know. Aside from the the drinks & latte were very good. The live DJ did a really good job on the ambiance & the staff was friendly. Would go back again 😊
J'ai 46 ans & je peux dire sans hésiter que c'est dans mon top 3 de mes expériences déjeuner à vie! A partir du moment où on met les pieds dans le Piel Canela, on peut affirmer sans hésitation que tout le monde ici n'a qu'un seul but: nous offrir une expérience hors du commun dont chaque membre du personnel est de toute évidence très fier. Le décor, le DJ, le service, l'ambiance & le menu... wow & re-wow!! Pleins de belles petites attentions, soucis du détail, différent, élaboré.... Un MUST!

Food blogger @sotastywithnady here. Delicious latino brunch with a magnificent ambiance! I mean they had a dj for brunch! How amazing is that😍 The food was soo yummy & our bartender Samuel was absolutely fantastic! We loved him so much :) definitely check them out. Highly recommend!
Bouffe correcte, différente. Prix abordables! Les employés étaient accueillants & gentils! Par contre, la musique est un peu trop forte .. on a eu de la misère à s'entendre ..
Very cool breakfast/brunch only spot in Montreal. Less than 90 days old, they are firing on all cylinders. Generous portions, bold flavors, perfect execution. Two of our favorite dishes were the Las Papas Benditas & Duck Tlatoyo. We added some Chilaquiles Skin Canela & a few cocktails to boot. We could have used a third mouth to help us out but wound up finishing everything. Montreal is not really known for its Mexican cuisine & people may avoid it because of that, but, in my view, this is absolutely a worthy visit & should be on everyone's list for breakfast or brunch in Montreal. Be advised of the limited hours & figure out a way to make it work! Absolutely delicious!
Awesome experience. The brunch menu is unique & delicious. The drinks were beautiful & tasty. The waitress knew her menu & made appropriate suggestions. Highly recommend.

Piel canela; Très bel endroit pour commencer la journée. Portion énorme . Le flanc de porc qui fond, ont n'en mangerais tous les jours. Seul légère déception était le panier de viennoiserie/petit pain. Ceux que je voulais n'étant pas disponible malgré que nous étions arrivés très tôt. J'y retourne sans complexe. Décor charmant. Mention aux mimosa à volonté sur le menu.
Piel Canela offers an intriguing & original menu, but the taste doesn't quite deliver. The duck sandwich was overly salty, & overall, the food was average. However, if you're a fan of extravagant cocktails & coffees, this spot is worth a visit.
Food was exceptional. We ordered one of their specialty lattes. Can't remember the name but it had a pistachio rim & came with a pistachio covered shortbread cookie on top which was divine. We also ordered the pork belly hash brown dish & the granola "buenos Dias" bowl, both of which were delicious & presented beautifully. Our server was lovely & attentive. Place is definitely a vibe with an upbeat atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet/cozy breakfast this isn't the place as they had a dj playing music which was a touch too loud for us, but if you're looking for a fun meal, this is a great spot!
Je trouve le concept super & tout donnait envie sur la carte. La serveuse était gentille mais tête en l'air, elle n'inscrivait rien & elle nous a posé 3 fois les mêmes questions. Quand on a reçu nos plats, ça avait l'air délicieux mais c'était soit trop sucré, soit vraiment trop salé. C'est même la première fois que je trouvais un plat trop salé parce que je suis plutôt tolérante à ce genre de chose, mais là c'était vraiment pas possible. On nous met la pression pour manger en 1h30 également. Aussi, les tables à l'avant étaient vides, mais on nous a installé tout à l'arrière, près des cuisines. La déco est top, le concept super, la réalisation... je ne reviendrai pas. Trop cher aussi pour ce que c'est: 55$ en tout pour un plat & une boisson. Je suis ok pour payer ce prix quand ça les vaut, mais là clairement, ça ne les valait pas.
