Our skin carries the customs, roots, and traditions that shape our identity. It is the sparkle of the stars that guided us north, the hidden abundance of our mountains, and the endless blue of the sea that rocked us in childhood.

Piel Canela is more than just a Latin restaurant in Montreal, it’s an invitation to travel through culture and flavor from the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, on vibrant Saint-Denis Street. Our menu highlights authentic tastes: from freshly prepared ceviche to chilaquiles as flavorful as in Mexico, from colorful and creative cocktails to reinvented crêpes for brunch.

The service was very good & the ambiance too, however the food wasn't bad yet nothing special, yes, the ideas are there but the taste is forgettable. The best was Carlota's cemita bread, I never thought I was going to find that out of Puebla, MX... the inside of the'cemita quebecoise' was just ok. The drinks are way better than the boring food. Being an association with'Barranco' I thought the food was going to be better, I wouldn't go back not because the place was bad but because there is nothing special about it either, c'est juste moyen.

Positives:
- Food was excellent. Highly recommend the tropical french toast & chilaquiles.
- The girl serving us was very attentive & friendly. We sat at the bar near the entrance door & it was comfortable, even with people lined up not far from us. Not too cold either.
- Even though it was very busy, it wasn't too loud & we could hear each other.

Negative:
- The space to hang up your coat is imo too close to the entrance where people are waiting in line. It made it uncomfortable to go grab your coat or to be waiting in line while people grabbed their coat. The hostesses seemed overwhelmed by the quantity of people walking in & weren't very friendly.

Overall 4/5. It was worth it & we would definitely go again :)
