Pho Ngon draws broad praise for fast, friendly service and a delicious pho with a flavorful broth, tender beef and plenty of fresh herbs, and generous portions for good value. Reviews describe it as a must visit for pho in Montreal, offering reliable dine-in or takeout and generally authentic, affordable flavors, though some note changes after COVID with smaller portions and a broth that can taste flat or overly concentrated, occasional salty notes, and occasional service or ambience issues, with cash only and parking nearby being common practical considerations.
The food & service is always great. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE is that they don't take any cards & their ATM is 4$ to use. I would rather tip the servers 5$ then to have to take out money on top to do so. My quick lunch was a walk out & went across the street to eat at another pho soup place, wasn't disappointed at all.
We absolutely love coming to Pho Ngon-it's become part of our weekly routine. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, & the service is consistently excellent. Our server is always friendly & attentive, even remembering our order, which adds a thoughtful, personal touch. Everything arrives quickly & seamlessly each visit. A truly reliable & cozy spot we're always happy to return to
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi ils n'acceptent pas le paiement par carte. C'est tellement désagréable & suspect. On plus qu'ils te donnent même pas la facture
Fast, friendly service was recommended combo F to save money because I wanted lots of meat & switch the rice to noodles. Thanks again always my go to spot for Vietnamese food when I'm in Montreal!
The service is horrible & the staff is confrontational. Listen to all the reviews saying this it is true. If you tip proportional to the bad service they tell you it's not enough. They waved at me through their windows almost on top of a client trying to be petty. Server pushed my friend to add spoon to the table. Avoid this place
My family & I have been to this restaurant before, we have always liked it.
We sat down & quickly moved around because they'wanted to clean around us.' They moved us next to the disgusting bathroom. We were at the store over an hour before they are closing.
We got three bowls of food & it was very plain & not very good. The pieces of meat so very large & chewy. Very different from the last time we came.
The service was bad, we felt very rushed & we felt like we were being stared at the whole time. They also had kids in the restaurant & it was very loud & disturbing. They were talking very loudly & slamming tables next to us.
They failed to mention they were cash only when we sat down. We did not see it anywhere that it was cash only. It was time to pay & I took out my card & they said they only took cash with an attitude. I explained that we did not have a lot of cash, the total was around 48 dollars & I only had 50 dollars cash. We went for the door & he demanded more tip. He said it was not enough & I NEEDED to tip more. I explained that I can tip more with my card but I only had 50 dollars on me. It seems to me that they only take cash to avoid the tax they have to give if they actually took card from their customers. I will never come back here & I do not recommend this restaurant.

Been going here for years. Unpretentious viet restaurant that serves traditional vietnamese dishes. Owners & staff are friendly & food is always delicious. Will never disappoint!
If I could give a zero zero star I would without hesitation. First off I walked in & they looked at me & starting laughing in their language with no customer service skill, RUDE & threw me the menu.
I looked at their kitchen FILTHY DIRTY & food all over the floor. Vegetables thrown on the side not even packaged. I can just imagine how they serve their soups & plates to people.
I wouldn't reccomend this restaurant for pho soup ever! There's other ones around the area which are clean & staff is great!! TRUST ME DO NOT GO HERE!! ThEY ARE NOT HYGIENE & VERY DIRTY RESTAURANT!
Been coming here for at least 15 years & the service is awful. The staff is always rushing you, & they always treat customers like garbage, lucky they have a following. I always order the beef ragout & the lady informed me they don't have on weekends even though I've ordered it many times on weekends, suggested something else when I said I was leaving & I said no thanks & left & they cussed me out. Food quality has gone down too. Make a MAPAQ report.
The service at this restaurant was unsatisfactory. I was required to sit between two tables, even though many other seats were available. The staff were discourteous & provided no assistance. In addition, a mandatory tip was enforced, & only cash payments were accepted. Diners should consider these factors before visiting.
