Review Summary

Pho Mai is described as a standout Vietnamese spot with authentic pho, generous portions of meat and noodles, and a warm, family owned setting where service is friendly and reliable. Reviewers say the soups are among the best in the city, with rich broth and hearty portions, and they note a range of dishes such as pad thai and other Vietnamese staples that stay true to the flavors. Prices are generally considered reasonable for the size and quality, and the dining experience is described as welcoming for both small and larger groups. Some comments mention that on certain visits the amount of meat in some soups has seemed reduced and a price increase has followed, but the overall quality remains highly regarded. Delivery orders are praised for taste and portion size, and teas such as pandan tea are highlighted as pleasant accompaniments, along with a notably good cold sweet coffee. Overall, Pho Mai comes across as a reliable, consistent choice for authentic Vietnamese comfort food that many reviewers return to for the pho and the homey atmosphere.

Authentic pho, the best to my Vietnamese taste ( I used to like Pho Bang New York, but no more) & other Vietnamese dishes, portions are generous, a family business without pretention, they keep it simple & friendly. Good service & clean establishment, hope they stay the same for years to come.

For the last three visits, I noticed that the amount of meat in the Tonkin soup is reduced, & today they jack the price up to $16, I'm fine with the new price, everything has gone up, but cutting on the meat. I think it's time to find another restaurant!

Our favorite Viet restaurant in the area, good price, big portion & always consistent. Go for the Bun Bo Heu, it's the best.

We came over an hour before closing… the staff was so kind to welcome us! Honestly, would go back again.

Great service & the food + price were amazing: a great bang for your bucks. My told me this place made the best, most consistent pho ga & they weren't wrong ! V delicious , warm & comforting.

I would also like to mention the tea they serve is a pandan leaves tea. In summer they can add ice to it. It has very unique taste with a subtle vanilla note.

Ordered Bun Bo Hue & grilled beef spring roll & this place might be my new number 1 spot : For the price, the portion is generous & taste is great, not to mention the soup is fresh : it is not greasy or the overnight taste compare to some places. The beef spring roll is almost perfect : they put a large piece of meat but they also put coriander in their spring rolls. I do eat coriander & I am not one of those who dislike coriander but, them inside a grill beef spring roll, not a great mix : the taste of coriander plus mint creates a weird taste that overpower everything else so, it tastes rather bitter & you cannot taste anything else inside the roll. Other than the small quirt, this place is going to be one of my go-to Vietnamese restaurant. But again, take out the coriander from your spring rolls : really not a good idea to put them with peppermint leaves

Pleasantly surprised by this quaint restaurant in St-Leonard. Atmosphere was quiet & casual, staff very friendly & quick. Seems family owned. Food was very good. The person I was with had the Pho soup & also enjoyed & liked it very much. Reasonably priced. I recommend it's worth a try.
