Pho Jean Talon. . by far the BEST Pho & the BEST Dac Biet soups in all of Montreal. . me & my friends have tried to find a better Pho Soup in the city based on popular reviews & reconmendations, & no other place has come close the Pho Jean Talon. .
fresh & generous ingredients/portions. . tastey aromatic broth. . the perfect noodles. .
a peaceful calm setting with great AC in the summer, & they play kitch Asian romance pop on their sound system for a fun setting. .
super friendly kind staff will take good care of you here xo

Incontestable, la meilleure pho que j'ai mangé. Le bouillon & la viande sont parfaits. De la part d'un connaisseur qui a testé beaucoup de restaurants de pho. Le nouveau restaurant préféré de ma fille & moi.

Food -
I've tried both their pho filet mignon & pho dac biet, do yourself favor & upgrade to the filet mignon-worth it! The meat is much more tender, the broth is pretty standard, not bad but nothing groundbreaking either. Tastes a bit like fancy comfort food :D
Their vietnamese coffee is also quite run of the mill as well-not a bad thing, just an observation.

Service -
The workers there are all pleasant, friendly & attentive! I learned that the current ownership only started around 5 years ago. Can't speak to the quality of this place prior to that.

Atmosphere -
Long basement unit. Nothing outstanding, but not run down either :)

Désolé, mais pas un 4,7 comme resto ! Bún th?t n??ng & pho au poulet. Le porc grillé du Bún ne ressemblait pas beaucoup à ce que j'ai mangé ici & au Vietnam (coupe, texture, assainissements, cuisson). Bouillon du pho plutôt fade. Les portions petites (même si commandés les larges), donc qualité/quantité/prix moyen. Le musique est probablement bonne pour les boutiques qui veulent nous exciter à la consommation, mais en resto pas la meilleure idée pour apprécier un repas.

I had the grilled chicken pho. They load it up way more than the phos in Vancouver- all kinds of veggies, generous meat portion. The broth doesn't have the taste of star anise (though that might be a particularity of pho in my neighbourhood) but it was quite good. Easy does it with their chili oil- it is quite spicy!!

I was craving pho one day, & I ordered from this place. Honestly, I'm so glad I chose that place. It's delicious, clean, the staff is super nice. I definitely recommend it

What a gem! The filet mignon pho was incredible. Amazing broth! Had it with a delicious, fresh mango juice. Excellent service as well!
Bonus: Early 2000s RnB playlist was hitting. Will definitely be back soon as I can :)
