OPA! What an amazing place! Let start off by saying, the food was absolutely delicious. The staff & owner are patient, understand & very welcoming. We had a huge group (50 people+++) & they managed to make it a memorable smooth experience.
I highly reccomend this restaurant to couples & large groups as well! 10/10
We had our staff Christmas dinner there last night & I have to say it was our best yet. The food was delicious, the service was excellent & the atmosphere is classy & warm. We will definitely be back!
We celebrated 2 birthdays at this nice greek restaurant in the West Island. Their menu has many varied items to choose from. Loved the chicken platter & John provided us with excellent service! We shall be back :)
The service from our waiter was truly excellent, friendly, attentive, & very professional. Unfortunately, our interaction with the manager did not reflect the same tone.
We visited as a group, & two of us were asked to move tables to accommodate a vegetarian/vegan order since they could not eat from almost all of the group deal's plates. which we completely understood & were happy to do. Later, the manager mentioned that he had'seen' one of us taste from a dish &, as a result, charged her the full price of the group deal at the end of our visist, despite it being just a small bite. Our colleagues had simply offered food they were not going to finish, which is something most people do when dining together.
This left us feeling somewhat uncomfortable, as it seemed like we were being monitored rather than hosted. The situation felt strict & inflexible, especially considering the food would likely have gone to waste.
We fully respect that restaurants have policies, but a bit of understanding & dialogue can go a long way in making guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, the handling of this situation created an awkward atmosphere & overshadowed what could have been a pleasant first visit.
I recently organized a holiday lunch for the McGill University Retiree Association (MURA) & it was perfect! Fifty-eight people came to the lunch & every comment we received was extremely positive. The food was excellent & the fact that we could bring our own wine was a bonus. I think that many of those who attended the lunch will be going back on their own or with friends, myself included! Thank you to everyone at Philinos who made this happen & made us feel so welcome!

Food is not bad. A lackluster, rather generic impression including the decor. The administration is somewhat inexperienced to manage discontent.
The 4 star is only for the food.

Have visited the restAurent a few times in the past few months for birthday dinners & more intimate ones .. Every time I was there food was on point! Service was great , & staff were so friendly & welcoming !
