Petinos is one of the too breakfast spots in the city.
I recommend trying the Montérégie Half Waffle with Strawberries, English Cream & Nutella. The waffle tastes great. It comes with eggs & sausage. Eggs are cooked to your choice. I had over easy eggs & they were cooked perfectly. I also recommend upgrading to Petinos potatoes, they add cheese & hollandaise sauce on top of the potatoes! Totally worth the 3.50$. The meal also comes with toast & coffee. Very good value. I always have a great experience at Petinos!
Seat not comfortable, menu is dirty & sticky
& coffee mug have listick stain... I stop drinking after my first sip... Food is alright, there is barely any service.
I went there for the 1st time to meet a friend & I had one of the combo plates with the French toast & everything in my plate was so delicious & cooked just right . The service was great too.
Can't wait to go back :)
Beside the long waiting time on the weekend (wich its normal)

Great brunch & breakfast spot.
Always fresh & delicious, big menu & fast & professional service.
Glad to have this place in town. My go-to to impress friends. I usually get the saumon bennes. Big portions, is where I go for great value.
Tried the pulled pork egg Benedictine, huge dish with alot of potato wedges & fruits!
Our Brunch was just perfect nothing to say & our waitress was soo kind & nice🥰
I've had much better at other Petinos franchises. The rye bread was over toasted , dry & not buttered. The food was ok but not warm enough. Asked to have my crepes & fruit served at end of my meal - not possible. Ate them cold & had to ask for maple syrup from table next to me . No one came around even once to refresh coffee. This was not a Saturday or Sunday brunch - it was Thursday around 1 pm.
Funny how there's a Petino's in all of the surrounding cities of Montreal but not in Montreal itself. I got the chance to come out the way to try this locally famed chain. Experience was off to a rough start as I was seated outside at a table to the very exterior, it felt a bit awkward as I was practically seated on the sidewalk, it didn't even feel like I was at the restaurant. On top of that it was the one table without an umbrella for shade. Fortunately I was able to hop to a better table outside when it opened up which saved the experience, they really ought to have umbrellas for all of the outdoor seating. I got a delicious breakfast platter featuring pancakes. I really enjoyed the food, very filling quantity too. My one minor woe was that the nutella used on the pancakes only covered the top pancake, leaving the bottom neglected. I improvised the format to get nutella on both pancakes. The place was busy so service was slow especially in the beginning, however once I was served it was high quality service.
Been there a few times...atmosphere is alright..service is alright. I find the taste of the food has decreased but its not only here. I had a french toast with nutella & bananas. Still waiting on the hazelnut taste from the nutella.
Me & my fiance had lunch there & ordered a take away lunch for her son as well. We had mimosa drinks too. The bill was 100 bucks. Well worth it because the portions are huge there.
Nice brunch spot, all the plates taste delicious, fruits are fresh & sweet.
An alright breakfast fare joint. Tons of options, nothing overly unique, but consistent & satisfying the few times I've been here. A downside for me is that they serve Nespresso for their espresso drinks, which doesn't really hit the morning espresso craving that a proper cafe would. My personal highlight is the full page of eggs Benedict's though! If you like a poached egg, you're going to have some good options.
All in all Petinos is good as a breakfast diner, a step up from something like a Denny's, but not a place I'd go to for a brunch or a morning date. You'll probably leave with a full stomach though!
I live in the neighborhood so I come here regularly & honestly, this place is a hit or miss depending on the waiter/waitress serving you that day. One day it's great, waitress is friendly, efficient & actually cares about your order, the next day it's disappointing, another waitress sounds impatient (even if it's early & not even peak hours yet), don't even bring water until you ask for it & comes back with the wrong order etc. I keep coming back because I like the food (yummy waffles!) but that lack of consistency in customer service is underwhelming, & that's why I rarely recommend this place when I have friends & family visiting because I never know if I'll get a good service or not that day.
The food was ok, I really had no problem with that! The only problem I'm facing in this location is the waiters & their weird attitude! & I haven't asked for the bill & felt like I had to leave since they brought the bill without asking. That's not a big deal for me I can understand that if the restaurant was full, but bringing a bill without asking is not a good thing to do for a customer. I believe this is the policy of the management not the waitress which I'm pretty much sure about. So my advice to the manager to beware of such stupid acts which will definitely lead to a loss of customers. Thank you
