Stopped by Patati Patata on a late-night whim, & honestly, we didn't know if we were about to have a life-changing snack or a soggy disappointment. The guy at the counter? Absolute legend. Chill, helpful, & somehow managed to explain the menu without making us feel like clueless tourists-bonus points for doing it fast enough that we could still get our kid back to bed on time.
Then we tried the poutine. My wife went classic, I went bacon. Even after the short trip back to the hotel, when they'd cooled down a bit, they were still incredible-we can only imagine how mind-blowing they must be fresh at the restaurant. The bacon leans salty (hello, flavor explosion), & the classic could use a pinch more salt… unless you're a purist, in which case it's perfect.
Pro tip: If you've been hypnotized by La Banquise hype online, break free & come here first. You'll thank us when you taste real Montreal poutine without the influencer line-up.
This place is unique small hole in a wall maybe little over 16 or 17 seats, with Burgers & Fries they also have roast hot dogs poutine the usual pub food however , they take special care in preparing the food, they toast the Buns they have different sorts of sauces for your Burgers, you get a small slip that you can choose the toppings & most important of course the price it is quite affordable the staff are very friendly I will definitely go back
Genuinely the only poutine I've ever truly enjoyed!!! The cheese curds are soft, the graving isn't overwhelming &, somehow, the fries aren't soggy at all. The staff were super friendly too!
The restaurant is small, so it can get a bit chaotic & loud 😂 I'd recommend taking your poutine to go!
Poutine wasnt good but we just dont like if. But the meat that came with the poutine was amazing
Amazing poutine! They are very generous with the cheese & gravy & use fresh fries each time. The gravy is also vegetarian & they have a vegan tofu option which is great for my family members with dietary restrictions!!
Always very busy so keep that in mind. Little to no seating so it's really more for takeout unless you are determined. Otherwise great poutine & cheap eats. Always get a burger & BLT personally. MTL staple
Excellent little restaurant. Food is prepared right in front of you. Service is top tier & the food was amazing! We shared the Poutine classique (large shareable portion) CAD 11.00. The service is welcoming, kind & fast. If you're visiting Montreal don't deny yourself this experience. Great choice of beer on Tap. Best Poutine ever!!!!!!
Love their breakfast sandwiches & poutines! Just wish they were open a little late! I keep missing them on my late night walks home)
Excellente excellente excellente poutine !
Definitely a must-visit establishment, of course for the food but also the vibes. Small place but great atmosphere. We went for a Patatine (poutine with cut raw veggies) & Grilled Cheese. Not a fan of Patatine as a concept (still wanted to give it a shot) but the poutine part of that was great. Grilled cheese was amazing. Would definitely visit again to try other things in the menu.
Staff was great, super friendly & chilled. Couple of tables & bar seating available inside but many folks just did a takeout.
Definitely recommended.
As always, the poutine was the perfect blend of hardy, rich & crispy. Definately an easy recommendation.
