Review Summary

Pat' e Palo earns broad praise for an excellent dining experience highlighted by attentive service in a calm Peruvian inspired setting. The food is described as delicious and richly flavorful, with standouts like chupe de camarones, lomo saltado, and camarones al ajillo frequently recommended, and many reviewers calling it among the best Peruvian meals in Montreal. The ambiance is noted for tasteful decor, not too loud music, warm lighting and a romantic vibe that enhances the evening, sometimes with a pleasant street view and a skating rink across the way. The staff are consistently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, with clean, well kept spaces and generous portions. A few criticisms appear, including dishes perceived as expensive or imbalanced in flavor, such as a ceviche missing lemon or a fish dish felt disappointing. Overall, the consensus points to Pat' e Palo as a top Peruvian option in Montreal, with strong recommendations to try the chupe de camarones, lomo saltado, camarones al ajillo, and a Cusquena beer.
