We just ate at Pate Palo in Montreal & it's an absolute gem! The Peruvian-inspired atmosphere is calm & inviting, the service is attentive, & the food is truly incredible. This is the best Peruvian restaurant we've ever tried. I highly recommend the chupe de camarones, the lomo saltado, & the camarones al ajillo - absolutely delicious!

Tasty Peruvian cuisine. On the pricey side. Service unhurried.

Pat'e Palo offers a fantastic Peruvian dining experience. We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service is outstanding, with attentive & knowledgeable staff who are eager to assist. Our orders were delivered quickly without sacrificing quality. The staff's friendliness & professionalism made our visit truly enjoyable. The ceviche was exceptional, showcasing fresh seafood & vibrant flavors. Our kids really enjoyed fried rice with chicken & soy sauce. Pat'e Palo is highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Peruvian cuisine.

Never tried Peruvian cuisine but on our 8th wedding anniversary, my husband & I (with our 2 kids) decided to try this place. We ordered:
(1) ceviche tres toques
(2) mar y tierra
(3) lomo saltado
(4) salchipapas

Each of us enjoyed (& shared) our meal. We were served cancha y los chifles as we were waiting for our ceviche. The serving is hefty so you may want to hold back on trying everything on the menu in one visit. My 7 & 4-year old kids shared the salchipapas. "Thumbs up" according to my two kids. The prices on the menu are acceptable if you consider the serving size. Oh, you may want to try their Pisco sour drink.

Service was great. The ambiance is quite classy yet relaxed. We will definitely go back to this place to try more peruvian cuisine.

I chose this restaurant on a whim on an evening that called more for a home cooked meal since the weather was horrible & it was some 30 minute drive from downtown. My choice of Peruvian was simply a connection with my nephew's wife who is by all accounts Peruvian.

Call me simple but I had no idea what to expect as far as menu so I did what anyone should do is follow the waiter's recommendations.

Before I begin I have to say the room is quite ordinary with misplaced dollar store decorations on the wall. There were 2 large groups when we arrived & our reservation was sitting directly to the backs of one of these that left my companion rather distraught, she being claustrophobic.

It is that one of the great mysteries of restaurants in Montreal again showed its face. I tried to explain to the waitress that this table would not do & could she find another table. She only looked at me with doe eyes & I realized she spoke little or no English & not much more French. Just as we were preparing to leave a young waiter arrived & found a nice table for us.

For the food we ended up with a ceviche of fish followed by a beef dish that for the love of me I cannot remember. & here lies another mystery how restaurants can serve such large quantities of quality food at such prices. The plate was $20 dollars but more than enough food for 4 & the beef dish although lacking in tenderness .

As we ate our meal there were several other dishes passed besides us that looked also disproportionately large & delicious.

I really need to get back there one day when my appetite is as big as my eyes.

Their wine policy is also great with a $5 bottling charge on rather good wine
