I was very pleased with our visit to Paparmane, especially with how well-thought out the children's tea program was. My kids were delighted with the cotton candy tea, as well as the accompanying food. I found everything-from the food, to the tea, to the decor-to be a cut above the ordinary. The best tea service I've been to outside of England.
What a wonderful experience. We were meet by Caroline our tour guide & server. Well she made our experience memorable. On this day we were two. We opted for combination of scones & sandwiches I chose the Bingo Blueberry tea, my friend made another selection which I did not note ... Caroline explained everything on our plate for us to enjoy. Enjoy, discover, & delight was the order for that afternoon. The room is just great with a choice of seating arrangements, soft lighting & array of colors, to delight & distract... well done. I had forgotten the beauty & joy of sitting back, cherishing the moment, enjoying the conversation & delighting in the treats & savoring a delicious tea. Yes folks the art & tradition of high tea, is alive & well in Montreal. This experience was magical & I know I will return. I had forgotten what it's like to be served, correctly, to enjoy an atmosphere that was void of the clickitty clack of people typing like the world is going to end any moment, along with one person taking up a table of 4. Instead it felt like I was in comfortable oasis allowed to rest, think, & have a conversation with my friend without having to shout at one another as is the case in some of those franchise establishments. SOME TIMES YOU NEED TO TREAT YOURSELF RIGHT.... so next time you want a new experience or just want to enjoy high tea & you in the old port stop in & transform an ordinary afternoon into an extraordinary moment.
Loved it! The location is cozy & the decor truly contributes to the high tea experience. The service was impeccable & the bites were delicious. The tea selection was also great.
Came here with friend. Staff were friendly & the restaurant is cute. Food was decent & some were actually good. but one person is $50, after tax it's around 65-70 per person. To me with $70 I have many different options & probably doesn't need to pay this much to get good food. I never experienced high tea so it's a good experience to me, but it's not something I will come back again.
It's a great experience & the food is delicious. I thought It wasn't enough food but at the end is very fulfilling. I wish it was more balanced between salty & sweet. Too many sweets for me & I wish there was a pairing with the tea & the food. I put 4 stars because I made the reservation a month in advance but was still assigned one of the least desirable tables.
For the price, this experience was not worth it. Not only was the food sub par (scones were stale & very dry), but their service & atmosphere was terrible. It was too loud & the servers rushed us out. What was supposed to be a relaxing high tea experience, was a stressful & unpleasant one. The tea selection was delicious though.

Quite good high tea experience in Old Montreal. There was a mixup about allergies which they were very apologetic about, but still amounted to a >20-min wait for the proper food to arrive.
4.5/5 + beautiful space with lots of fun yet royal atmosphere + Extremely friendly, accommodating, & helpful staff. They were both funny, professional, & genuine. - We were a bilingual group & kept switching from French on English, but the waitress kept up :) + Scones were not dry, but buttery & flaky & the accompanying mascarpone + jam was delicious + All but one savoury dishes were pretty amazing, highlight being the grilled cheese + Savoury dishes were genuinely interesting combinations that will excite all kinds of palettes ⭐ Every single dessert was amazing. Honestly highlight of the experience. Not only this but they were creative, & rather pretty. + Flawless macarons & amazing cake - I found my tea (their Darjeeling selection) to be rather lack luster & a little watered down. Mind you I'm picky with tea & it's hard to get it right with western style. - one of the savoury dishes was sort of meh. It was the small tuna sandwiches which had an imbalance in amount of bread.
Today was my very first high tea experience & Paparmane did not disappoint. Each bite was beyond amazing. There wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy. The menu was 10/10! The teas & mocktails were very good as well. Service was also excellent. The place is cozy & wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Had a very pleasant lunchtime high tea with my daughter today. We were quickly seated after a warm welcome. Very nice ambience. Interesting, quirky decor. Our server was friendly, attentive & accommodating (happy to substitute certain menu items due to dietary restrictions). I had a classic & my daughter had a vegan high tea. The food was good. We had the blueberry chilled tea. It is a little pricey but very nice for a special occasion.
We had a bit of a disappointing/strange experience here. We made reservations for afternoon tea 3 weeks in advance, we knew it was a set menu but the menu states to advise them of allergies/dietary restrictions. Between the two of us, my friend & I had some restrictions & that's why we wrote them all out clearly when we made the reservation, 3 weeks in advance. No one contacted us about it so we assumed it would be ok & drove the 2.5 hours to come here for a day trip. When we arrived the hostess acknowledged that they had received our list of restrictions. Once our server came though she was very frazzled & seemed overwhelmed when reviewing them, & we had to go over everything again. She seemed very nervous about being able to accommodate them & once she left, someone from the kitchen came & told us that with our list of allergies, there was nothing at all she could make us from the savoury foods. We spoke to her some more & re-clarified things (nothing that we hadn't already told the server or written down when we first made the reservation) & she was ultimately able to accommodate everything. The food that we were served was all good & we have no complaints about that, the disorganization & the attitude of the staff regarding the food restrictions is what ultimately made the experience quite uncomfortable. Having given them plenty of notice, I would have expected them to just call & tell us if this was something they were unable to accommodate rather than making us feel like we were surprising them & burdening them, particularly when they were capable of making the accommodations after all.
If you're looking for an extraordinary high tea experience, look no further than Paparmane. The staff is warm & welcoming, the ambiance is magical, & the food is delectable. We opted for the vegetarian & classic high tea menu & were impressed by the presentation & taste. The Masala Tralala tea was the perfect complement to our meal. The icing on the cake was the thoughtful gesture of a cotton candy matching my sister's dress, topped with a candle. Paparmane defines customer service at its finest.
Beautiful decorated tea salon. The classic high tea menu is delicious, very tasty, delicate flavours. Different varieties of tea. My favorites: flower power teas, macarron au foie gras, Deviled Egg with Parmesan & truffle, passion fruit & coconut tart. Loved it.

In ranking of best part of afternoon tea 1. Savory. The grilled cheese is best paired with their homemade jam. 2. Whipped marscapone & homemade jam 3. Sweet 4. Tea 5. Scones/biscuit
Loved my experience here! A little bit on the pricier side for tea, however the quality of the food, service, decoration & basically everything make it so worth it, I'll be going back for sure!
Such a fun & unique experience. I love high tea! All the food was amazing. I had the vegan & gluten-free menu & it was sublime. My friends had the classic & they loved it too.
What a lovely tea experience at Paparmane. My wife & I are afternoon tea fan's but haven't found a spot in Montreal that reminds us of any of the fun tea rooms in Europe. Paparmane delivers on every front. The food was amazing. The ambiance was divine & the service left nothing to be desired. I especially appreciate the vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options as well as the inclusive bathrooms that make this queer girls heart very happy (as well as feel safe.) ***VERY LGBTQIA safe space
