Reviews describe PangJi Guilin Nouilles as a cozy, family-run spot in downtown Montreal that delivers authentic Guangxi flavors through handmade noodles and rich, comforting broths. Noodles such as Guilin rice noodles with crispy pork and laoyo varieties are repeatedly praised for texture, while broths are noted as flavorful and satisfying, with some dishes offering a gentle heat and others a bold spice that can be dialed back. The service stands out for being warm, friendly, and attentive, contributing to a homey, welcoming atmosphere. Many diners call it a hidden gem or must-try, often returning for the consistent quality, generous portions, and the overall sense of authenticity. Occasional caveats mention that some dishes can be fatty or oily, and one visit noted an off day with a strong burnt chili or unusual cleaning scent, but these seem to be exceptions in a generally positive consensus. Overall, PangJi Guilin Nouilles is regarded as a reliable go-to for handmade noodles, flavorful soups, and a memorable Guilin style dining experience.
The food was so good here! Had the spicy beef noodles - I think it was'G2' on the menu. The noodles were dense & had great texture. They held all the seasoning so well. The flavors were so delicious, but WOW - so spicy! They will reduce the spice if you want them to. The'burger' entree was good too. The staff was so nice. Edit: I've come back here a number of times, & the food is always so good. The flavors are quite unique. The pickled cabbage soup is delicious! Also, the burger entree just keeps getting better! Honestly, the burger has become one of my favorite things to eat at any restaurant. It's simple & savory. It will slowly creep into being one of your favorite things to eat. This is my favorite noodle place.

If you visit Montreal, don't forget to come here for a bowl of the distinctive'Guilin Rice Noodles'. The soup base, carefully prepared by the owner, is rich & delicious. The'Crispy Pork' &'Pan-Fried Beef' are simply amazing. A highly recommended great place! The boss is warm & sincere, giving you a feeling of being at home. very 😋🥰🥰
Me & my wife fell in love with this restaurant when it was located on Monk. After they moved downtown it became too far & out of our way. Today for the first time I was able to order through uber eats. The food is just as we remember - so flavourful, unique & delicious! We're looking forward for a chance to visit again in person!
This is me & my wife's go-to spot for luosifen. We keep coming back because it's so good! The flavor is amazing every single time. We always add the crispy fried egg extra.

A family-owned resto~ Food is good, the snail soup is very salty tho couldnt finish it, however the flavour is there. The spicy stir fry noodles were very tasty, as well as the crispy pork feet! Friendly service, lots of smiles, there is only one main cook so expect the wait to be a bit long ~
Authentic Chinese food. They have delicious traditional rice noodles with generous portions. The service is outstanding & the atmosphere is fabulous. Highly recommended!
Tried the Chinese burger-it was fatty & bland, so I had to doctor it up with sambal & vinegar just to give it some oomph. The twice-cooked pork noodles showed some promise, but the chili crisp tasted burnt & the garlic leaned bitter. I found myself enjoying bites here & there, & honestly, I can tell the food usually hits the mark-but I must've come on an off day. Uncharacteristically, I ended up leaving food behind-the pork was too fatty & the noodles too oily.
The space itself is nicely decorated & spacious, with polite & efficient service. That said, there was a faint ammonia-like smell in the air-likely from cleaning products, but it unfortunately gave off the impression that someone had an accident.
Between the off day in the kitchen & the unsettling scent, I'll call it a 3/5. Hopefully just a fluke.
I love Pang Ji .. the couple that runs this place is the very real deal. She makes all the noodles by hand - & the noodles, regardless of which ones you pick, are all fantastic. They make it super spicy for my husband & nice & medium for me. I have been here four times already & look forward to coming back. The place is lovely & spotless & the service is lovely. Also super affordable which is really nice these days!

Nice quaint restaurant. Prompt service & food was delicious. Had planned to go to a different restaurant that night but because of the line up, came here. Best detour!
