P23 Dumplings elicits a mixed but generally positive response from diners, with many praising the quick service, friendly staff, and the wide range of dumplings such as xiao long bao and wonton soup, plus some dishes like beef and coriander dumplings and certain bao; yet several reviews flag inconsistencies in texture and flavor, including rice that is mushy, soup dumplings that are brothless or overcooked, dumplings that feel undercooked or dry, and kimchi that is overly salty; some orders benefit from a strong sauce while others would benefit from more seasoning, and a few comments mention uneven quality between visits or orders due to staffing changes or different chefs; the atmosphere is described as convivial and affordable, with lunch options noted and some reviews mentioning accessibility concerns; overall the restaurant remains a solid quick option for dumplings and sauce-heavy dishes, delivering standout items in some orders while showing texture and flavor gaps in others.
Thinnest hot & sour ive seen, no egg, no tofu, no bamboo shoots. General tao had no sauce & was mushy. So was the longbao, dense as a sausage & mushy leaky shell. Different chef as my first order probably where the tao was fluffy crispy & sauced.
Un restaurant dumplings incontournable de Montréal. Meilleurs dumplings ever, Xiao Long Bao a la soupe incroyable! On y trouve également de très bons variables dumplings. La place est conviviale, le service est chaleureux.

Went there for lunch. There is an extensive choice of dumplings. We ordered the « randomly picked » ones along with an order of shrimp, pork & coriander dumplings. To have to pay 2$ for a little portion of peanut sauce was a surprise.
As an appetizer, we had the wonton & hot & sour soups, along with the spring rolls. The hot & sour soup was very good.
The dumplings were a tad dissapointing: despite being steamed, they were dry.
The service was correct.
You do not go there for the decor, nor the atmosphere, at least not at lunch time.
Not accessible by wheelchair.
WOW!!🤩 Je recommande cette place à n'importe qui qui veut pouvoir déguster une délicieuse variété de plats chinois dans un endroit super chaleureux🫶🏻 Je vais 100% revenir🥰

Came in for a bite to eat & was totally delighted. I've had wanton soup, & shared two portions of dumplings with my friend - chicken mushrooms & lamb cilantro. All three dishes were by far the best of a kind I've ever had. The place was clean & cozy apart form some supplies stack around the counter. & they don't serve beer. But we came in for food & food we got - as good as it gets. Well done P23 Dumplings, kudos to the cook & to the lady who served our meals! Will be back often!
The fried tofu dumplings were good. My order was mixed up initially, but the server was cordial & corrected it promptly. Nice, simple ambiance. Good selection of dressings at the table.
