My worse experience in Montreal, the greeter was excellent but the server (M) was terrible. A nightmare in the Christmas morning , starting with her non professional look , non welcoming with anger problem on everyone . She never came to our table. , we had to call the receptionist to call her. I made 4 orders. & then she asked me what else for the girl!!!how much we gonna order 4 main orders. She brought the coffee & slammed it on the table with a sound. She brought the oatmeal with no spoon or asked if I want to add maple syrup or brown sugar, I had to ask for all of this , she brought the maple syrup which was spilled on a plate. & said sorry!!!! No dear in a 5 star hotel you do it properly , you don't over fill the container & let it spill. We could not even ask for water as she answered in a rude way to a near by table when they asked for water , very noisy atmosphere & she made sure of that by making all the possible noise when she moves & takes plates on all tables , you feel you are in a cheap Resturant. I wanted to talk to the manager but he was no where, not surprised!!

Hello. I have literally never been compelled to write a public review before today. I have, in fact, never written a bad review in my life. However, my experience at Osco! was so uniquely awful that I must inform the good public of Google Reviews what we experienced today.
First of all, the entrance is inside of a mall, which in & of itself is not a problem. However, the entrance is exceptionally difficult to find, I literally found the forbidden section of an active construction zone in attempting to follow the signage to this restaurant.
Once we did find the entrance, which involved a separate, unmarked door, an escalator, & asking hotel lobby staff, we were seated with our first waiter. We asked for recommendations about the Absinthe, as it is marketed as an Absinthe bar. However, he seemed confused, & simply read us the menu. After the first waitor took our order, a different waiter came, without explanation, & confirmed our order in a tone of voice that made me think we had somehow ordered incorrectly. He was our waiter for the rest of this unique experience, despite the fact that first waiter was still there & serving other people. Stuff happens & it's literally fine, but we don't know if we somehow mortally offended the first waiter by asking for recommendations.
Our drinks came, & were fine. For $18 they could have been better.
We both ended up ordering the same thing, the half Cornish hen, which I feel the need to point out was like $40. It was around this time that we realized that everyone else had bread, & we did not. We would have maybe brought this up, but the waiter change & what was to come made that seem like the least of our problems.
Our half Cornish game hens arrived. Like, I am not a seasoning freak. I am literally Irish. However. It was so unseasoned. But after penetrating it's season-less, slippery skin, we realized both were raw on the inside, while overcooked on the outside. Again, not an expert, but it was literally bleeding as well. I ate some of mine, & my sister ate two bites. The accompanying fries were just okay.
At this point, we simply had to make a hasty retreat. We tried to flag second waiter. At one point, he came & asked if everything was okay, to which the raw meat was ostensibly obvious. I started with'yeah, just the-' but before I could finish the sentence, he was gone. To be fair, it's a little bit on us for not complaining about the meal. We also could have taken pictures, but thats not something we would normally do, & were just so confused. We were so dumbfounded we just needed to leave.
Next, we tried to wave him down. He just waved back & walked away. Eventually, we were able for the check. He cleared the untouched plates. Here again, I will admit we could have complained, but we didn't want to draw out the experience any longer or have a conversation about the raw meat, lack of bread, & waiter confusion.
We left 18% tip, because life is hard. We don't know what to say, but felt the need to warn others. If you see this, Osco!, please let us know if we mortally offended first waiter. Also please know it is NOT on second waiter, he seemed like a lovely person. Also there two managers there, which I cannot reconcile with the weird service or raw chicken.
Overall, go here if you want, but do NOT be bamboozled by the promise of the charming exclamation point or eclectic interior design.

I've never stayed at the Intercontinental before, but it's been a wonderful experience. The in-hotel restaurant was incredible. The first night we were there (Thursday) I ordered a smash burger, price was great, & our servers Marc & Clara were absolutely lovely. I hope to see them again before we leave. The next morning I got to experience the breakfast buffet (so good!!!) & our server Marc (but not the same one lol) was so nice. Over all incredible experience. It's making for a very relaxing comic con weekend.

Dès qu'on franchit les portes, on est immédiatement charmés par cette ambiance chaleureuse & lumineuse, agrémentée d'une touche de dynamisme qui donne envie de s'y attarder. Le service, du personnel d'accueil aux serveurs, est irréprochable: leur sympathie, leur attention & leur professionnalisme définissent l'expérience gastronomique dès les premiers instants. Plusieurs visites matinales pour le petit-déjeuner ont confirmé la qualité irréprochable des plats, dont les saveurs sont toujours préparées avec soin & présentées de manière appétissante . Ce qui séduit particulièrement, c'est l'adaptabilité du lieu: on peut y retrouver des amis pour un brunch convivial, y inviter des collègues pour un repas d'affaires, ou encore profiter d'un rendez-vous en amoureux dans une atmosphère élégante. De plus, on prévoit déjà revenir pour découvrir les menus du dîner & du souper, puisque chaque bouchée donne envie de plonger plus loin dans cet univers culinaire raffiné. Il ne faut pas oublier que l'admiration commence dès qu'on s'aventure dans les couloirs de l'Hôtel InterContinental, où l'on peut profiter d'une touche de glamour & d'art avant de s'installer chez Osco!

Osco! is a real delight. The French Onion Soup & the soup of the day are the perfect starters. The wine selection is superb, enjoyed Canadian wines during our two visits. The service at Osco! is top notch & staying in the hotel on a cold winter night made Osco! a perfect & comfortable place for dinner!

Beautiful place. For the price, the selection & freshness of food could have been superior. Service was efficient but perhaps could have been friendlier - more professional. I love this hotel & that restaurant, I hope you raise the standards to match the beautiful surroundings & the price.

We are only in Montreal for a few short days. This restaurant was near our hotel & looked quite nice. The food was incredible I had a salad & Brisket Risoto. The best I have ever had. Robin & Alexandra were very nice & had quick & attentive service.

Very budget-friendly breakfast buffet style considering the nice deco, nice table in a prime location hotel in Old Montreal. ($36 + tax & tip) Variety of food to choose, I like the English egg (poached egg in a creamy sauce). The food refill pretty fast too. Just the place can get crowded in a small buffet room.

We stayed 3 nights at the Intercontinental Hotel August 3-6, 2024 & ordered room service 2 times during our stay. The first night we had burgers, fries & crème brûlée. The food was great & the delivery person was prompt & courteous. The second time was our last night there & I ordered the charcuterie plate thinking there would be cheese on it. When the room service gentleman, Jonathan, delivered the meal I realized my error & commented I thought there would be cheese. Jonathan went out of his way to correct my mistake & brought me a plate of cheese & fruit. I was blown away by his exceptional customer service & my meal was delicious. We will definitely be back!

This review is for the Club Lounge in the Intercontinental that is associated to the restaurant. The lounge is very nicely decorated. There were a generous amount & variety of drinks available during happy hour, a hot entree (the chicken & potatoes one evening were excellent) as well as vegetables, dip, salad, Sandwhiches & petit desserts. Breakfast was also delicious, after hours food was a bit lacking on some days though. On several occasions, the lounge was tended by Johnathon. His service was absolutely excellent, he was very efficient at keeping everything available & fresh, but was also incredibly personable & kind to everyone in the lounge. Also serving as a concierge helping with suggestions about Montreal, transportation & showing a real love & enthusiasm for Montreal & each guest. He is really a gem, the hotel is very lucky to have him.

Of all the places I ate in Montreal, this was one of the best & most memorable. The service was outstanding. The hotel wasn't much to speak of, but this place was. The salmon pasta was the best I've ever had anywhere, & I am a pescatarian.

Osco is the hotel restaurant in the intercontinental hotel in Montreal. We had both dinner & breakfast in the restaurant & it is very much recommended, great service, great venue & great food. Thank you to all our servers: Ivan, Robin, Maxim, Alexandria & Rene for all the meals we had at the place.

Decided to use the club lounge during our stay at the Intercontinental in Montreal. Food very good & was always replenished good selection to choose from. We must give special mention to Johnathon who went above & beyond to make our stay a memorable one he is a great asset to this hotel & I am sure will go far in hospitality. Dejeuner avec femmes au Osco ce matin (Buffet ). Hôtel & restaurant très occupé ,mais malgré tout la charmante serveuse Alexandra & son collegue Maxime on bien prit soins de nous ,meme si nous n'étions pas de l'hôtel. Merci pour tout !!! Le restaurant est chanceux de vous avoir.
