Reviewers consistently highlight Original Shawarma for generous portions, especially the mandi and shawarma, strong authentic flavors, and good value for money, with many calling it the best shawarma in Montreal or even Canada. The meat is described as juicy and well seasoned, sauces like garlic sauce are standout, and the rice and sides are noted as solid or excellent; the dine in experience is praised for atmosphere and service in many visits, while others complain about crowded, noisy rooms, long queues, and occasional slow or disorganized service. Some meals arrive cold or overly salty on certain visits, and parking is frequently cited as a challenge. Takeout and family platters are popular and price point is a strong positive, though quality can vary across visits. Overall the sentiment is that Original Shawarma delivers great flavor and generous portions, attracting repeat customers, while peak hours can stress the staff and space.
I came from Turkey for vacation & this place was one of the best dining experiences I've had. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, & the staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. They made us feel very welcome. I will definitely come back again! Thanks.🙏
shoutouts to RIM the cashier , she was so friendly helpful & professional, she managed a misunderstanding with heart & attention, these are the type of people that makes you wanna come back again & again
Yesterday, February 24th, I ordered the family-sized lamb mandi, & it was one of the worst experiences I've had. The rice wasn't the same as before in terms of taste for me & my family; it was bad. In addition, the amount of meat was not commensurate with the price. Although I asked which type of rice was better when placing the order, & the employee explained that there were two types, I was surprised to find that there was only one type when I got home.my order number was 37 at 5pm & total 106$
I would like to formally report an issue regarding a cashier named Marwa.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I politely stated my name. In response, Marwa made an inappropriate facial expression that made me feel uncomfortable & unwelcome. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy & professionalism.
Customer service includes not only words but also gestures & facial expressions. Staff members should maintain respectful body language at all times, especially when interacting with customers.
I kindly ask that this matter be addressed & that Marwa be reminded to control her gestures & facial expressions to ensure a positive experience for customers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Food is good but service needs work: I ordered a plate for 25$, waited 20min (no one called my order) after going to ask at the counter, it turns out my order was ready for a while just getting cold sitting there. I asked to have it replaced because it became cold & they did but it wasted my time & the portion was not generous (compared to wasting my time twice). Needs a lot of work, the young lady Wednesday night was doing a bad job pls talk to her, I'm sure it's her fault & not the kitchen
Il y a beaucoup de monde & c'est un bon signe, la nourriture est excellente par contre le stationnement est toujours plein & il n'y a jamais de place. C'est dommage.

The a place is like Lebanon, the shawerma is like Lebanon, you don't even have to mention that you want it the Lebanese way & say what you want in it whether meat or chicken..... & the mandi is amazing ... The quantity is so generous
