I was not keen on ever leaving a review. Anywhere. But tonight is an exception. My wife & I & our two children were strolling through the old port of montreal on holiday & wanted to have greek. Coming from the U.K, greek food, unless in greece is a hit or miss for us. Not tonight. We were welcomed by a cordial, warm staff. Our server, Steve, went above & beyond. We told him that we were in a rush & he got the message. He recommended this wonderful greek fish & the lamb chops & seeing I'm not a wine person, he paired it perfectly with a beer called mylos. The service & food recommended were perfect. I will make it a point to visit again once were back. & we will be back. As Steve said. Kali Orexi.
Wow, massive disappointment given all the five star reviews. We may have made a bad choice by sitting on the patio, but that is no excuse for the incompetence that was on full display. Our server did not know what wines came by the glass, or what sides came with the mains. It took 20 minutes to even get someone to come to our table. Another 20 minutes to get Peter, who was good, to come with a bottle of wine that we did not order, to get us to taste it. Our appetizer order, tzatziki & pita took 45 minutes to arrive. Our entree, seafood pasta came cool & with very little protein, ie. seafood. Not a recommend at all. Sorry guys it just was a bad experience all around.

The owners have done a remarkable job bringing Greece to Montreal! Fabulous service, wine & food. We had too much food so took our leftovers with us & the grilled chicken was equally good cold in our car ride to Quebec City the next day. We're still craving it! Highly recommend Orexi Estiatorio while in Montreal.
Excellent restaurant grec ! Les plats sont savoureux, préparés avec des produits frais & authentiques. Les grillades étaient parfaitement cuites & le tzatziki était délicieux. L'accueil est chaleureux, le personnel est attentionné & l'ambiance rappelle vraiment la Grèce. Les portions sont généreuses & le rapport qualité-prix est très bon. Une excellente adresse pour passer un agréable moment en famille ou entre amis. Je recommande vivement & j'y retournerai avec plaisir !

We stopped into Orexi in Old Montreal & had an incredible experience. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with historic exposed stone walls & all the character you'd hope to find in one of Old Montreal's heritage buildings.
Even though the weather was perfect & the outdoor patio was tempting, we chose to sit inside so we could fully take in the charm of the restaurant. It was definitely the right choice.
I ordered the roasted lamb shank with potatoes & vegetables, & it was outstanding. The lamb was cooked perfectly-so tender it fell apart with a fork & practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the rigatoni, which was also excellent.
What really elevated the evening was the hospitality. Peter took exceptional care of us & struck that rare balance that great hosts have. He spent time chatting with us throughout the evening, but only when he could tell we were interested in the conversation. He knew exactly when to engage & when to step back & let us enjoy our meal. It made the experience feel personal without ever feeling intrusive.
You can tell Peter & the team are genuinely proud of what they've created. The combination of authentic Greek cuisine, the historic Old Montreal setting, & genuine hospitality made for a memorable evening.
If you're visiting Old Montreal, I highly recommend making a stop at Orexi. Great food, great atmosphere, & great people. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding experience! Grilled calamari & lamb chops were perfect, tender & flavorful. Portions were generous & service excellent. Restaurant is located on a quiet street & has outdoor seating. Highly recommended!
This is a great spot for elevated traditional Greek food with a modern twist. The staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming, the background music created the perfect atmosphere, & the whole experience made us feel transported to Europe. A wonderful place with great food, great service, & a warm, lively vibe. Highly recommend.
