Opiano est un endroit cosy de cuisine coréenne près de McGill qui offre des plats authentiques et copieux à des prix abordables, avec un système efficace où la commande se fait d'abord et l'on trouve ensuite une table, et de nombreux clients louent les soupes comme la soupe aux os de porc, les plats mijotés et le bingsu, ainsi que les portions généreuses et l'ambiance décontractée adaptée aux étudiants; certains commentaires indiquent toutefois que certains desserts peuvent être décevants ou que quelques plats manquent de tofu ou sont trop sucrés, et il est aussi mentionné que les sacs à emporter sont payants; dans l'ensemble, Opiano est perçu comme une adresse fiable pour une cuisine coréenne de confort bon marché et savoureuse près du campus.
I stayed in a hotel right next to Opiano during a short trip of Montreal & decided to have a dinner there on a Thursday evening in November. It seemed quite busy, but I got a seat immediately. The food was very reasonably priced, plentiful, & was very tasty. The service was quite good as well. I will gladly go back there.
Need a quick bite to eat? Visit this mom & pop shop. Not tip. No waiters. Just a kiosk, pay & some tables. Loved the kimbap. Kassu was alright but it wasn't expensive at all.
One of my favorite in Montreal! The food is always delicious, affordable & the staff are always nice! It's our regular restaurant to visit, their binsoo is good too! unfortunately, they are not open on weekends, otherwise we'll be there more often.
15-Aug-2024 Came back & they are newly renovated! You now order on a touchscreen & when the food is ready they call your number. Food is as delicious as always! The moochim mandu, pork bone stew, bulgogi, jeyuk & bingsoo are stellar & at such an affordable price. Wish they were also open on weekend. ----------- So I'm writing this review based off my dozens of visits to opiano. This place was my go to place as a student (& still come as a non student) because of the delicious Korean food, the quick service & the friendly staff. It's a order at the counter type of place where you order & then they give you a number. They display your number on this digital clock looking thing & once your food is ready, you pick it out at the front. The owner was always so friendly to us! I used to come here for their AMAZING red bean bingsu but now they don't seem to be selling it anymore. I also LOVE their tteokbokki, Pork bone soup, tofu stew & spicy pork plate. This place will always have a soft spot in my heart, so highly recommend.
