My go to korean food place after class! The food not only super delicious but also incredibly cheap. The cheapest korean food place in montreal. The service is super fast too & there's plenty of seating. The restuarant gets packed fairly quickly after opening so its best to go right after it opens.
I usually get their stews but I know their fried chicken & bingsu are super good.
Pretty decent food. The pork bone soup is amazing, while I found the rest of the savoury dishes to be bland. Portion wise, you get your money worth. Bingsu dessert was also impeccable.
Fantastic korean eatery. Unassuming but pleasently surprised. Generous portions & fair prices. We're Korean & as authentic as we've had in a long time. Bingsu was excellent!
Opiano is a cozy Korean restaurant right next to McGill University & it's perfect for students to grab lunch after class. 🍲 It offers authentic & tasty Korean dishes at a very reasonable price, making it a go-to spot for both quick meals & casual hangouts.
In the summer, they serve bingsu (shaved ice dessert), & I have to say the milk flavor is the richest & creamiest you can find in Montreal. 🧊🥛 Absolutely delicious! Strongly recommended for anyone looking for great Korean food near campus. 🌟
15-Aug-2024 Came back & they are newly renovated! You now order on a touchscreen & when the food is ready they call your number. Food is as delicious as always! The moochim mandu, pork bone stew, bulgogi, jeyuk & bingsoo are stellar & at such an affordable price. Wish they were also open on weekend. ----------- So I'm writing this review based off my dozens of visits to opiano. This place was my go to place as a student (& still come as a non student) because of the delicious Korean food, the quick service & the friendly staff. It's a order at the counter type of place where you order & then they give you a number. They display your number on this digital clock looking thing & once your food is ready, you pick it out at the front. The owner was always so friendly to us! I used to come here for their AMAZING red bean bingsu but now they don't seem to be selling it anymore. I also LOVE their tteokbokki, Pork bone soup, tofu stew & spicy pork plate. This place will always have a soft spot in my heart, so highly recommend.
Had the japchae which was kind of oily & the bimbimbap which was okay. It's good quick lunch/student food. Id still go back to try the kimbap or bingsu, the service was nice
