Food was excellent- but way too spicy for myself & two guests. It was not 2 star spicey- more like 4 star. Not sure I will return because menu options for mains at one star not present on menu.
Third time eating at your establishment & want to support local businesses- but please consider older clientele who may not digest spices at same intensity as your chef prepares them.
Il faisait froid dans le resto, j'ai commandé 2 services que je n'ai jamais reçu & les robinets pour le lavabo pour se nettoyer les mains ne fonctionnait pas.
You need more options on the menu, it's too small, & there are no ‘healthy' options.
A wonderful evening at Oorja! Creative, fun, & totally delicious food & thoughtful, attentive service.
We had the pleasure of dining at Oorja on our recent Montreal visit. It is a small restaurant but what Beautiful ambience. We had reservations for 5 people, but had an extra person join in at the last minute (a kid), & they were very kind to accommodate us. The menu is not elaborate, however it includes all the famed dishes from the Indochinese cuisine. Plating is gorgeous & everything was deliciuosly flavourful. My favorite was veggie Manchurian, which I was sharing with my sister. However it was so delicious that we ended up ordering another plate. Kids had lamb spring rolls & chicken manchurian, & even though it was a bit spicy for their taste buds, they thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband ordered chili paneer, which was very flavorful but the paneer was on the dry side. & lastly, I would travel back to Montreal just to have their red bean ice cream with bao bun. Everyone was skeptical in ordering a red bean icecream, but My gut feeling said it would be good. & I wasn't wrong. I was so full otherwise I would have eaten one more plate of that. Thank you for the wonderful experience.View more
Pretty nice restaurant, variety in drinks & great attention. The baby corn & the pork were highlights for me. The vanilla cake desserts was also really damn good.View more
Nous avons adoré ! & un gros plus pour la barmaid qui nous a offert de délicieux shots pour l'anniversaire de mon. Ari ! Gros merci

C'était délicieux, les conseils sur les plats & les vins étaient très justes ! Très bon restaurant !
The food was really good. A bit too spicy for my own taste.
The ambience was good as well, the setting looked really good.
However, the service was extremely bad. The wait time was really long, & couldn't even get water refills.
However food experience was good, but the service made the overall experience bad.
I will be going back for the Minced Lamb Spring Rolls & the Braised Pork Belly - I totally forgot to order the Red Bean Bao Buns for dessert; I can't wait to try it! The appies are the main event, the mains are a bit too sweet & lacked complexity, but for $20 they're great & on the small side. My friends loved the wine, & The Last Word cocktail recommendation was surprising & herbacious. Great space, a nice addition to the neighbourhood!View more
Food & ambiance were delicious & lovely. However the service was absolutely atrocious. We showed up at the time of our reservation, & waited for about 10 minutes. Then the host told us he just had to set our table, which he did, but never sat us down. So we took the liberty to go seat ourselves after waiting for another 10 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to order our drinks, & brought me the wrong beer. It takes another about 15-20 minutes to get our first appetizer, & we don't have any plates. It's now 45 minutes after our reservation so we just ate off the middle plate. After another 20 minutes, we get our 2nd appetizer & both mains. Again delicious. Once we finish, the cherry on top is that the waiter just drops the card machine on the table & walks away. We pay, wait 5 minutes, & eventually just leave. Food was absolutely fantastic, but the service would make me reconsider going back.
Tried Oorja for dinner The interior is sick. Love the colors & ambiance. We tried many items & everything was delicious. The dumplings & spring rolls were so good. My favorite item was the duck wings. First time trying duck but it was to die for. Very Friendly & helpful staff ! Fair prices! Follow @ayahayek_ for more on instagramView more

The staff are incredibly welcoming & the food is incredible. The combination of flavours is something I think everyone needs to experience. This place is one of my favourites.View more
This is a nice Indo Chinese spot in St Henri. We ordered the mango cocktail, chili baby corn, braised pork & chili chicken. The menu is small but good. The chili chicken with chowmein tasted very much like the street side chili chicken I've grown up eating in Kolkata. The braised pork was delicious. The crispy babycorn came with a nice sauce. The portions are quite filling. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with soft music playing in the background. This is a really cute spot for dinner.View more
